When: 13th Jan 2013 (providing the world doesnt end :p)

Time: 10:30am meet up at Mobil Servo, Whitehorse Rd Blackburn (237 Whitehorse Road Blackburn VIC 3130), and departing 11:00am

    Route: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?sadd...t=h&mra=dpe&mrsp=6&sz=19&via=1,2,3,4,5,6&z=10

This cruise is near enough to not matter 4hrs driving time plus some Lunch and talk Sh*t time ;)

Ive set some points on the route you will notice where there will be a quick stop to allow for any slow goers or anyone that gets caught in triffic. First one off Springvalle Rd is due to triffic lights and such, so this will get us all back together again.

Please print this map out for yourselves (I wont be handing them out, so its up to you but highly recomended to get a print out), study it and learn the route so you have a good idea before the day.

Some rules: We will try this "keep the car behind you in sight" rule again but with the edition of this....Along the route there will be a lead car (myself) when we come up to an intersection and we turn left or right the car behind the leader car will pull of to the side of the road and indicate to the rest that we are turning left or right at that point, then tag along from behind. This obviously wont take place in the city but will come into play in the country. This is what the bikers do on cruises.

(I want feedback on this idea guys and gals?)

Lunch: This will be in Healesville at around 12pm where we can talk crap, eat and socialise.

Hope to get a good turn out! We need to start showing the other states how this is done and get good numbers to more events!

    "That's what the Bikers do"

I have been on bike rides (before cell phones or GPS)
We found that it is a lot easier to make a rule....
If in doubt at an intersection, the right way is TURN RIGHT.
When we have to make left turn, it is easy enough for someone to pull to the left and signal, wait till the rest of the group passes by.
If someone doesn't show up, then that guy doubles back to find them.

The system did not work as well if we pulled over for right turns.

Ok thanks for the insight... This was based on things I've read. There are a mix of left and right handers... I would imagine we will stick together fairly well out in the country and windy roads...

If its a left or right (providing there is safe enough room to do so) the second car should be able to pull to the left and indicate left or right?

Great! Just add your name to the list :)

Thanks for the suggestion but I think by the time we are back everyone will tend to split off home....?

And I'll definitely be moving the Goldfields Cruise back a bit.
It's normally early Feb, will make it some time in March instead.
