Looking at Eric http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-300Zx-1990-Twin-Turbo-Massive-Dollars-Spent-Quik-/260797142389?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item3cb8b89575#ht_939wt_1139
Gotta love it - selling a car on ebay - 'no reserve' - no stuffing around, now that's keen to sell! Anyway, why did it need a service on the Gold Coast - didn't he only buy it a few weeks back?!
and dont forget the recon engine ,then also replaced the rear main seal some recon why was the seal done at recon
I remember when this car was offered for sale by A2zed it was possible for the car to be converted to NA. How much would this conversion cost if performed now? (Puts on flame suit)
Pretty sure Eric was saying how this dude blew the engine 6 hours after taking it. Blew up while just 'driving along'.
"serviced every 52kms, hood release very worn, will need replacement, such a reluctant sale..." bahhahahaha
He supplied a used import engine from Nizpro, not a recon so all the bits like new sump, serviced injectors, plenum pull, 100k service, rear seal etc etc has not been done to this engine. Buyer beware if looking at it, I have a feeling it has had a very hard time the last couple of months.
Why do the intake pipes to the throttle bodys not go straight to the intercooler pipes , they look like they go straight back to the turbo's ?.
I was going to say he's probably cranked up the boost and that NA motor can't handle it but I'm guessing there was no boost controller and running static boost off the actuator?
That's right. There was also no sign of detonation when I pulled the plugs and checked them. My best guess is he flogged it pretty hard from stone cold and spun a big end bearing. An engine with 300,000km needs a little care.
I saved this on my ebay watch list just to see what it would go for. .......Gotta love the Aus300zx for its insider info.
I had no idea a car could be ruined in such little time. At the time of the original sale here on Aus300zx i was contemplating to purchase the car, but then uni starting getting more intense. Sad result...
Gee wiz, the car must owe him some bucks now! The guy probably won't be in the market for another Z any time soon if it sells on ebay for as little as two to four grand! Bet he's biting his nails hanging-out for bids - bahhahahahhahhah
Someone put a bid on it, then claim that it wasn't as advertised. (Insomuch as there is no way it's a reluctant sale. He'd be keen as hell to piss it off after messing it up so badly...)
Yeah, the "business venture" is: avoiding divorce & kidding himself that he didnt just totally do his arse on that car! Can't wait to see the final price!
