need help...(checked forums but couldnt find a suitable solution) :)

speedo and odometer died from my cluster but power steering is still good.

pulled my cluster and checked the solder...all good from that end.

checked the voltage/connections/wires etc to see if its getting power...all good there aswell.

bought another cluster off of 'PennyArvs' and checked that, but it had exactly the same issue.

tried even wiring a separate line to get the speedo going again but no luck.

Is is possible that the replacement cluster is ****ed aswell or is there something else i can do...

need help cause Tom at PZP is out of ideas.

Just a thought, but there MAY be a fuse in OR for the cluster somewhere. Only guessing tho.

Maybe the Speed Sensor on the gearbox is stuffed(no signal to the speedo - no reading for Odometer or Speedo)?

Have you recently done any work with the consult port like wiring in a switch or left a short in it ?

And does your "check engine" light come on with ignition ?

Don't know if this could be your problem but worth a look. On the rear of the speedo board is a resistor ( thinking maybe R9 or R10 written on board ). It gets a dry soldered joint that stops the speedo from working ( don't know about odometer though ) but maybe worth a look. When i got my Z a couple of years ago the speedo would not work or read 320 km :D every now and then. Someone posted up a great thread with photos so do a search.
    Cheers Dave
