Clock

    The clock in my car is constantly resetting itself to 1:01 can any body tell me why this is happening? I tents to do it at least once a day.

    The clocks have a habit of playing up. There is a tech article on a fix which sometimes has good results.

    Early model clock requires a resistor or 2 replaced; later model has a different PCB to that shown in T/A and not worth the trouble imho.

    I was only looking at this Altronics clock module kit today. If it uses 0.5 inch 7 segment leds it would probably be possible to make up a replacement. Wouldn't need the alarm function unless you sleep in the Zed like Shazza :D.

    my clock is tempermental... the time is there...then its not.... oh, there it is!... nope gone again....

    mine always resets to 1.01 aswell......my way of fixing it
    invest in a mobile phone

    yours resets itself to groundhog day :eek:

    replace the clock,most of the repairs never work anyway

    that's correct. mine was completely dead prior to repair.

    once i got it working it wouldn't hold the time and resets itself to 1 randomly.

    Replace it with a boost controler/turbo timer/EDFC and buy a watch :) Works for me :p
