what a wanker of a post. why are u infecting this thread with the jigs, if u have something to say about them then go and post in that thread you wanker. and for ur information they will be replaced this weekend, and improved.. oh and if u want ill send you a set for free to shove up ur ass :)

apart from that, no i dont replace every item thats 20 years old. wat a stupid thing to say esp when we own zeds. but things like that when wanting to run 300rwkw+++ i personally would suggest gettin a new fuel pump either stock or aftermarket wateva, but i wouldnt run the 20year old one. like i said thats me personal u have ur own opinion and thats all this is...

    get the

later model 555s = 615 yellow top, you'll need new injector connectors to suite( which btw are far better than the stock pre 94 connectors) you wont be maxing these out with 600gt's, unless your thinking over 20psi.

so that means a Deatschwerks injector adapter kit or a 300deg fuel rail doesnt it,im gathering the series 2 555's are not a direct fit into an early model fuel rail ???

    that's

right mate, and forget the d'works adaptor kit, 300deg rail is the way to go for twin in twin out, and ease off fitting, all fuel and return hoses simply screw in using a/n fittings, get the kit from coz, injectors rail and connectors in one hit,you wont be sorry.

the stock pump and 555's will COMFORTABLY do 350rwkw ...
    As I'm currently doing...about 85% duty cycle
but I'm sure you wont be hitting that too often consistently

keep the stock pump ...why go aftermarket....

pfft, do i get recognition for convincing you to change from the stock rails? of course not :p

simon, a stock tt fuel pump is plenty for maxing out the 555's but I would do what beaver did and get the 300 degree rail with 740cc nismos and you won't be sorry.

    sorry

chris, yes it was you who suggested the rails, what clinched it for me, was when i saw them fitted on your motor. There you go, recognition aplenty!

Whats your fuel economy like with the smaller injectors ?

Buying bigger injectors, bigger turbos and bigger exhausts in the pursuit of HP is misguided if you think purely bigger is better, no doubt certain requirement need to be met to meet certain goals, but up sizing when unnecessary, usually has negative side effects, using bigger injectors then necessary will probably hurt your economy, bigger turbos will be accompanied with extra lag, bigger exhaust will reduce road clearance and have been known to reduce performance.

I dropped the 615/740 300 degree rail option as it was $675AU extra with basic fittings. As ther were people around to support that 300rwkw is possible with the 555's I decided to stick with the 555's for now, cheaper/factory fit/ maybe slightly better fuel ecomonmy/no hacking up my new EFI harness.

I dont worry about fuel ecomomy ...not a daily driver :)

it wouldnt be any worse on cruise anyway, it would be sitting around lamda 1 on cruise anyway, doesnt matter what size injectors they are, unless ur up to 700+cc where the ECU has trouble reducing the duty cycle enough on idle etc
