Umm no there are no before and after numbers which would be deceptive anyway depending on car, driver, track and conditions etc... Nor are there any such numbers around to prove that camber arms, radius rods, traction rods, sway bars, strut braces etc improve track times.

We know it works because the physics is sound.

I will ask JP to answer in more detail but won't be for a couple of days as his computer is down.

Can you explain how this differs from a front sway bar? or is this installed as well as a sway bar for increased rigidity?

Am also interested in having one.

Just so you know i'm not trying to be a cock about this and i am genuinely interested in the product.

All those parts you listed do make improvements to lap times and tyre wear etc.

Because they are such generic items that people that have used for years everyone knows the documented effects.

This being a specific Z32 brace isn't the same - do the mounting points for the radius rods/front of chassis rails suffer from flex in hard cornering and does it effect the way the car handles?

Does bracing this point give the car better turn in or something?

Becandsteve2003: you use it in addition to your sway bar - it's a chassis brace

This has nothing to do with Sway Bar function.
Sway bars essentially "firm" suspension movement, and spread vehicle roll forces between both sides of the axle to which they are applied.
This bar is designed to stiffen the chassis/suspension location points(and hopefully combat the recent spate of serious cracking in that area), in other words it's meant to increase chassis strength and rigidity well beyond the factory specs.:zlove:

All good mate and did not mean to imply that you were, just making the case that you can't say this brace will improve times by x amount. This style of brace has also been around for years and is used on heaps of cars, just nobody makes one that actually fits a Z32. I will get john to better explain how it helps.

I have had a similar adjustable brace fitted for 12 months now. My impressions are
that it seems to allow me to turn in a little more accurately on the track than I could previously.
I believe these braces alone will make some difference, but supplemented with a
decent aftermarket adjustable pillowball setup, this is where its effect is noticeable and handy.

    How and why

These are agood idea as they stiffen up the fornt end. There is probably more flex and stress on lower control arms and radius rods than the upper control arms which get help from strut braces. This peice will tie it all in and complete the geometry like a box, which from is incomplete. It would help with stiffness for handling and saftey as a bonus in case of an accident.

I could arrange it but you'd be better off buying it unfinished and organising chrome yourself. If i do it you are going to pay extra for courier to/from chrome shop.
