UAS Chrome Molly Radius Rod Support Brace

    Hi guys, this one has been a little while in coming. As the tuneagent adjustable radius rod (castor rod) support braces don't fit Z32, UAS have made up a production version of the custom radius rod support brace that they use on the Slot Car. This brace is tig welded, and made from chrome molly which is stronger and lighter than the chrome plated or similar braces.

    Features
    • Lightweight yet strong chrome molly construction with TIG welds
    • Weighs 1008g (painted) compared to 1218g similar brace
    • Additional bracing that goes all the way back to lower control arms
    • No bends for better clearance and increased strength
    • Z32 specific, it actually fits...

    Installation is made easier with a nut welded inside the brace, so it will work with your existing radius rod bolts. The brace is finished in an aluminium paint (as pictured, could also do black), no chrome which weakens the metal.

    Here is a pic of an unpainted one installed, see plenty of clearance.

    Price: Price on these is $235 each
    Timeframe: We need a minimum ten buyers, so I will leave open until the end of the month and hopefully that will get us there!
    To order: Standard deal guys, 50% upfront with the balance due within two weeks of the braces being ready or your money will be lost.

    simplist way to describe it is....

    to say that its like a strut bar for the bottom of the car.....
    stiffens the chassis a little so less flex equals better road handling and grip....

    thats what i thought....

    due to my recent damage to the cross member it might be a worthy investment...

    I'm interested to see if we get the numbers and then I'm in for the end of the month

    im in rob u know that. question tho . i see the secondary brace area that connects 2 the tension rods is threaded. does this mean that the tension rod bolt screws directly into this without a nut. or is a longer bolt with nut supplied?

    He explainded this above, a nut is welded to the brace for the bolt to screw into.

    Judging from interest in tuneagent product we won't have any problem with numbers. This is a superior product for a number of reasons (did i mention it actually fits??). If you take the plunge and commit we'll have six buyers, well on the way to minimum ten.

    So are there any actual numbers proven with it?

    Like jp picked up .01 per lap with it fitted? Does that suspension member need to be any stiffer as in how did you know there was flex there to begin with?
