supervised the installation of my HIDS on the sunday ..

.. tremendous lighting difference compared to stock low beam ... top stuff ...

.. ballast location: driver's side is bolted to my N/A power steering reservoir bracket / passenger side sits on/bolted to the radiator cowling, facing the passenger side wheel guard ...

.. now need to grab a couple of spare h3 globes as a back up...

.. and many thanks, yet again, to my Dr Zed (specialist) ... brilliant ..!!!

    Legalities?

Recently for the 7 millionth time my halogen lights blew, its getting rather annoying, so im in the market for one of these kits, just wondering what are the legalities of them

I believe that some HID's can scatter the light too much and not concentrate them, these HID's to my knowledge are illegal, if im wrong someone plz explain, do these/if they can, comply with aussie standards or will u need to get an engineers sign off on them as well?

pretty much you need the following the HIDs

    1. projector headlight - z has projector
    2. auto leveling system - in case you car is full people n staff in the boot, your headlight will point up higher, so it will auto adjust the headlight level. but the z you dont come with auto level, but there is a screw in the headlight for adjusting the level.
    3. headlight wash - no idea why they will needed......

and the ADR standard in australia said:

    ADR 46 Headlamps

The function of this Australian Design Rule is to specify the photometric requirements for headlamps which will provide adequate illumination for the driver of the vehicle without producing undue glare for other road users.
