Z Fest 2008 is up and running again

Sorry for not doing something sooner but I have been busy with other things and have made some phone calls to Cowra. I have managed to get a venue for a limited number of people to stay in and we can also have a show and shine at this venue on the weekend too....YAY. If you have a tent, you may also bring this to stay in as it is at the Cowra Holiday Park where all this will be happening. Please do not book yet as I am still negotiating the rates.

Details are still being worked out in regards to rates for the accomodation, but as soon as it is finalised I will post it up (should be Friday). If people miss out on staying there, another accomodation place is also being sorted approx 1km away.

I am not organizing a dinner for the Saturday night, but will say that there will be a BBQ at the venue and all are welcome to attend. It will be a BYO everything BBQ.

This will be a fun event as there are heaps of things to see and do, if you check out this link http://cowra.visitnsw.com.au/ you can see what it has to offer.

We plan to go to the japanese gardens at some point on the Sat and on Sun around midday have the show and shine, so we can have the cars on display and our hosts are going to advertise the fact it is happening too. We have discussed a gold coin donation for entry and the proceeds to go to a local charity, but this can all be decided at a later date.....

There are also all of the lovely wineries in the area too, as well as a lovely golf course, so heaps to do. There is even horse riding for the very adventurous!

I will keep you all posted as to the progress over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled......

    Travel 1,065.44 km,
Est. Time 11 hours 50 mins

Wowser! If a bunch of ppl from QLD are going I might tag along for a cruise, even a marathon one if others are keen!

    red32 You talkin' to me?

You'll find that the fun/great time you will have for the weekend is well worth the time spent getting there. Sad fact of life is that some are further away from a relatively central point than others, but if you cruise there with a bunch of like-minded people/enthusiasts, the trip itself is something to participate in. Travelling with a bunch of like-minded folk, with proper rest stops (like, every 2 hours) is so much easier than doing the same trip by yourself.

I've now been to 4 meets... 300ZX in 2004(Gilgandra)/2006(Coonabarabran), NDSOC in 2005(Goulburn)/2007(Phillip Island (OK, the last one was only 100km from home)), but every one of them has been worth the effort of getting there, and I think you'll find many other people on the forum who will endorse this opinion! I still admire Brad (DUB) and Natalie for coming from WA for the Goulburn meet!

    Sure will be!

You'll probably find that quite a few of us from SEQ will be doing the trip down! Lots of fun. I won't miss it for the world, going by the last Coona trip we had nearly as much fun on the trip there as Coona itself! :zlove:

Hi Douggie, I can take your list and trump you with NDSOC 2003 at Queensland Raceway :p :p :p. The Zed and I had better be at Cowra, but its been a rocky honeymoon so far .....

And I wonder if Nadia had anything to say about Brad coming to Goulburn with Natalie .

that burning feeling in your groin Mikey.:p :D :D :D
You need female companionship when you are on your Honeymoon. Not the ZED. :p
I'm sure Dougie is just suffering from Dementia & the fact that at his age, all the pretty ones look the same. When he looks from the ground up, he never gets past their shoulders. :D :D :D :banned:
