I've heard the term rice burner before .. can only imagine the snap, crackle and pop of superheated rice bubbles exiting the zorst. Long grain, short grain, sushi rice, basmati or jasmine ....?
Really Rob, your talking like Baz now... On a more related note, I have also heard of the V8 boys pouring small amounts of water down the carby while then engine is running I reckon a really good thrashing and lots of carby cleaner every coupla k's would fix it up.
latest update on my engine is that its running on only 3 cylinders now. Yay! Appently they think its electrical problem cause all the cyclinders down the drivers side back arnt work at all, theres current getting to the injectors and coil packs but after that, nothing. So now the mechanic claims that "its beyond him" so off to Gavin Wood i go which i should have gone to in the first place. Ohhh by the way, Blade mate we were talking like a week or so ago and now nothing, you still alive?
RB26DETT Conversion Hi Guys, We are currently involved in an RB26 implant into a 300zx and should be finished in a couple of weeks. If you need any advice on the conversion PM me. It is a nice conversion if done for the right reasons! Yours in Performance ARD
I don't know how much use this'll be to people with the seller having disappeared, but as I was speaking to Benny (previous owner) when he was selling the zedsled a few months back I know abit of the history. With current engine, ball bearing turbos, computer and tune it was supposed to be putting out about 280rwkw@16psi from memory. Both the engine and turbos were rebuilt at around the 90 000km mark. Engine got brand new internals, not forged. Stock housing high flowed ball bearing turbos. Stock gearbox with a short shifter. If the seller shows his face again he can confirm these details. Hope this answers a few of the questions you guys raised.
ahah lol mate a new tt 3.0 300zx engine cost $15 000 from memory. if they were cheaper than that i might think about getting one
I got a PM a while back saying he had someone looking at it but nothing since which is annoying. I'd have probably put a deposit down on this to secure it had i spotted it earlier and if it lives up to the specs it says. Would save me a lot of time to get my car back on the road rather than rebuilding.
hmmm dunno, either way he hasnt responded to my other pm's. if its under offer or sold could at least post to say so. has anyone been and checked it out?
Bit strange that it's been on the market for a couple of weeks and no-one has asked, who re-built it, what was done, pistons, headwork, rods etc,the questions I'd ask if iwas interested in buying, because there are re-builds and then there are re-builds. More info
Thats actually what I asked him about in a PM. What was done and parts used as well as receipts and basically any other detail about the build.
Yeah I know what went into the rebuild coz Rowan (original owner) told me. Unless it was rebuilt again, HOWEVER I wouldn't go as far as to say it would be worth the asking price unfortunately. More like something closer to $3000 and you can keep the Wolf.
