Zedsled engine for Sale

Hey All,
I am selling the VG30dett from my Z,
Motor has been rebuilt last year , Garrett Ball Bearing Turbo's, Wolf 3D Computer Management, the motor is in good condition, happy to take it to take it to a workshop for mechanic's opinion, selling the motor as i am saving up to do the RB26dett conversion. below are some pics of the engine and a link to a video so you can see and hear the engine. This includes the gearbox aswell as computer, whole engine. intercooler, etc.

sure it would be kinda unique but why would you downgrade?

 

I dont think it would be a down grade, the rb26dett engine's are excellent engines, and dont get me wrong the vg30dett are also great, but i have not seen a 300zx in australia that has an rb26, and i dont want to be the person who keeps askin on the forum if it can be done, so i am just going to get it done post it, to show everyone, and i think it would be sweet and i love rb26 engines. . it was this or buyin a gtr, which i am not going to do casue i dont like the shapes and i love me z. :zlove: hehehe

 

The best thing about the gtr is the attesa, why do you say "it's either i put the gtr engine in my car, or i get a gtr" as if it was the engine that is attracting you to it?

Yeah it's got a good engine, so does the supra and so does the 300zx

if you want to be unique, get the attesa system happening in your zed, now that would be a challenge you'll need the transfer case, mount it to your trannie, front diff, you may have to modify your oil sump, etc

but you will have the worlds first and only 300zx with attesa

 

hey dude, well yes the engine is the thing that is attracting me, and some one in japan has already put the attesa system on a 300zx inc the engine, i dont really want to that as it sounds really pricey and would make the car a lot heavier. i guess we will see how things go for now.

 

go for a vq35de, then tt it

 

revving the engine to 8 thousand rpm when its cold,,well,, i dont think that it will last that long, i cant imagine what you do with it when its normal operating temp.. not bagging your post but cold , 8thu mmmm no thanks

My 2 cents, if you a going to all the trouble fitting a straight six in the Zed, a 2JZ is a far better engine than a RB26DE.

 

hi there, for your info the car isn't cold, did you hear me start the engine in the vid? besides i taped just as i came back for a drive. and it was 7000rpm not 8.

All seem like too much of a hassle to me IMHO. Nothing wrong with the VG30DETT unless you have some really specific goals in mind that the VG30 can't accomplish.

 

for the same price you could go a ls1 supercharged
now that would hurl.

 

i think you need to watch the vid again ,, because you hit 7300 rpm (2 times), just in case you missed it the first time and your gauge was on cold. and the zed gauges do work quit well.

p.s by revving the car on a vid aint going to tell you much.. but anyway good luck.

 

hehe, well 7300 is still not 8000, and that water temp is not accurate, that's is what the wolf 3d compyter display is for (and i know that wasnt in the film) once again thanks for your input but if you don't have anything nice to say, than just dont say nothin.

how much would that cost? and it would be a bt pricey to rego, i think i will stick to the rb26, i really like the engine? but it is somethin i will look into though, thanks.

Love the ideea, i think it would be preety sweet, ive seen RB26's in zeds before.
I personally wouldove gone with an LS1 supercharged, but each to their own. Good luck with everything and can't wait to see it finished

LS1 Pfft... If you like pushrods haha and GL fitting it in. Its a mission doing an RB26 anyway, trust me I wanted to (custom everything)... Then I just got a GTR Sounds like a challenge though. keep us informed..

 

how many k's has it done total and how many since rebuild? Also how long ago was the timing belt done and was a full plenum pull done with the rebuild? How many horses is she putting out?

Give us more info on the engine internals, etc. KWs or at least est KWs.
