Does everyone with a JDM Z32 still have a flare bracket in the passenger foot well ? What would happen if I had a flare and used it in Australia ? Can you get new flares ? If not what could you use the bracket for ? Torch maybe, one of those super bright LED ones like, http://search.bcf.com.au/search?lbc...ed torch&af=brand:ledlenser pagetype:products
1) Yes 2) Probably a talking to by the police 3) Yes, marine shops 4) A torch perhaps? Warning triangles spaced along the road before an accident are the preferred method of warning motorists of a crash. Not mandatory in passenger vehicles, but IIRC required in heavy vehicles in some states. Less risk of fires, and are associated more by the general public as a sign of an accident.
I have this one fitted in my flare bracket http://www.bcf.com.au/Product/Led-Lenser-M7-Torch/340138 :rolleyes2: Has not moved :zlove::br: One can drive home with it if lights fail (Fact did it in the old 120y lol)
I don't know if it would fit the flare bracket but you could carry in the glove box the OEM optional Multi Warning light/torch. Its a kool little torch/roadside emergency light to me anyway. it has a small torch light at the bottom of the light. When its secondary light mode is activated a red strobe like light flashes and illuminates the upper clear part of the light for an effective emergency roadside warning to other motorists.
I've still got my original flare. Long expired now and it just sits in my tool box. Was going to light it up one day to see what it does.
It would probably still work as intended, BUT from an insurance point of view i wouldn't use it or ignite it, as they take a dim view and would void any injury claim or damages claims, should if fail or blow up in your face.
:agree: Now that's cool,so get it at any Nissan Dealer ? Thanks for pick go well with my Z :rolleyes2::br::zlove:
Yeah you should be able to no worries. its not z32 specific and im pretty sure can be purchased for most nissan models so it should be a common stocked part for nissan. so just give them that part number and it should be easy pezy for the nissan guys
That is cool, best suggestion so far. Went and had a look in FAST and there is a torch for Z32 with a similar part code KKC905 with the part numbers AU161-40000 and AU161-5000, do not know the difference as I was only able to find pictures of the 40000. A tinnier shitier light then the one Adam posted but some may be interested as it is Z32 related along with the accessory fridge in FAST. Here is one being auctioned right now: http://aucfree.com/items/k200608296 And one thatw as on Nengun: https://www.nengun.com/nissan/genuine-ntsusan-signal-light-96645
Here is a link to a Nissan parts image that shows both a flare and the AU161 torch fitting the same bracket. All be it for a Nissan Bluebird wagon my all time most hated car. http://nissan.7zap.com/en/jp/bluebird/910/130+8210+8310/w1/g2606/ And yes the flare is the same part number as a Z32. Ipso facto the AU161-40000 torch listed for the Z32 will fit the bracket. Maybe AU part number which is quiet unusual for a Nissan part number was for countries that don't allow a ready store of fireworks to be carried in a car, like Australia. No sign of holder or torch in AU FAST. I have no doubt the updated version that Adam posted will fit as well, the last half of the part number is the same as the last half of the bracket number in the Z32.
of course I do, purchased it through jesse streeter brand new from Nissan Japan a year or 2 ago. Here are all the part info for you; Part Manufacturer: Nissan Motor Co. LTD Part Name: MULTI LIGHT Part Number: KC906-89900 (JDM) Model Series: Z32 Part Inclusion: 89/07-00/08 Nissan Fast Part Code: KKC230 Brought From: Jesse Streeter Quantity: 1 New Or Used: New Nissan Japan Price: ?3,564.00 JPY and sorry didnt get a chance to look today ill let you know tomorrow.
Easier to remove the bracket? Use your mobile phone flashlight. Are any of these torch suggestions rechargeable LiPo batteries because I don't want to hear about a Zed burning up because another LiPo battery started a fire

Here you go guys Fits perfectly fine into the bracket, I've actually left the multi light in this position now and I've put the old roadside flare into the glove box for the time being. The multi light runs off 2 x AA batteries which I've left disconnected via the thin plastic spacer cover included with the multi light. It unscrews from the center section for the batteries as well.
