I have been talking to the guy who actually makes the gauge faces same as simlenton (simon's). He also does custom ones for NA and turbo, and is willing to do a group buy. I'm just ironing out the details. These are a plastic interface like the originals, NOT a stick on printed label. He does coloured, and graphic images too.
Thankyou so much for the link. I've looked everywhere for an OEM looking 300kph speedo (without some irrelevant brand name plastered all over it) for my Z with out any luck. In fact I couldn't even find ones for sale that did have a brand plastered all over them (apart from a home made ebay one that had absolute crap quality). I had given up but now this one is making its way over to me as a type. Spent nearly as much on postage as buying it.
If only I'd known this yesterday I might not now be $800 poorer lol (well at least mine will already be calibrated).
There has been one on yahoo auctions for two months now. Around the 200 mark I think. Was still there yesterday when I checked.
I did check through yahoo actions etc when I as seriously looking but that would of been more than two months ago (a lot more). The rational thing for me to do before parting with my 800 would have been to recheck ebay, yahoo etc but it was an impulse, emotionally driven reaction to finally seeing the speedo I wanted (I get impulsive/emotional with my Z in general).
Graham I would be interested if they can make a 320/330 km/hr NA spec dials but if you have been talking with the same guy I think you are, then I'm out of luck Abraham
320/330 km/hr NA  What are you smokin' Abraham? 220, or 240 maybe from an NA the rest would be lying. Its more fun watching the speedo wind off the dial than watching it struggle to get to 2/3 of the way. We have our group buy discounts, I need to get some idea of what styles of gauges we want and the numbers interested. I'll then open a group buy Original delivered price is $104 delivered for custom 180 or 240/260 Black OR white only 300km is $104 Custom 300km $124 delivered. 1 - 5 sets10% 5 - 10 sets 12% 10+ orders would incur a 15% discount.
abe why on earth would you want 320+KPH NA dials??? 1- the diff gearing will max out around 260 2- with limited power the you'll be lucky to manage 240-250 on a very long straight
Yeah not my cuppa tea but thought it went along with this thread... Be good if you could rig that same screen up to your ECU and get your sensors and other readings much like an ECU Talk... But have it so you cycle through each sensor or reading and display what you want.
Yer fair enough! I submit tho, that at speeds in excess of 180kph, you should not have time to go looking at and admiring speedos!!!!!! E
It certainly looks OEM which is why I'm glad I bought it but it turns out its not OEM as you can see due to the absence of writing on it (i.e. "Japan" and "Nissan") compared to the other stock gauges.
