Here's another way to look at it

Get the following from Coz for your upcoming plenum pull

    Plenum Gasket
    EGR Gasket
    Balance Tube O-Ring Set
    Throttle Body Gasket
    Complete PCV Set
    IACV Gasket
    Air Regulator Hose Kit
    Heater Hose Kit
    Spark Plugs Set
    Fuel Filter
    Valve Cover Gaskets
Fuel injector o ring and insulation set
    Injector Connector Set
    Coilpack Connector Set

    Total $550ish delivered

Throw in the fuel line you need $30ish and heater hose $10ish from Repco.

About 5 metres of 6mm silicone, and 6 metres of 4mm silicone, about $50 delivered from ebay.

$30 for paint to do your plenum, fuel rail, rocker covers, balance tube, and IACV feed. Another $50 for sundries (degreaser, wax and grease remover, block off caps for your deletes, coolant for when it goes back together, barb fittings if you want to extend your existing vacc lines) we're up to $940.

Budget another $300 for a mobile injector guy to come out and service your injectors on site.

We end up a little over budget ($1020) but I guarantee that you'll notice a difference in the way the car runs.

If you still have some $$ left over and want to go faster add

Turbosmart Boost Tee $89.00 delivered http://compare.ebay.com.au/like/281053268545?ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes

Autometer Boost Gauge $89.00 delivered http://compare.ebay.com.au/like/321094834990?ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemType

Total cost $1198 but should feel like a different car with the boost wound up to 14psi.

If you want to finish the "look" of the car a little more add another $70ish to get some silicone intake pipes delivered to you.

Before and after of a car I did last week. Barring a coilpack that he needs to replace (connector on the coilpack side is damaged) it runs like a new car. If your car is even half as neglected it'll be the best money you ever spend on it.

He'll want to put a big single and nitrous on it :p :br:

I'm going to go left field and say spend half the money on some good tools if you haven't got them already. Got socket set, spanners, screwdrivers, long needle nose pliers, files, scrapers etc.

Rest of the money on maintenance and $50 for a boost tee.

In your case, id spend it on getting the smashed rear quarter panel fixed.

that would be a priority for me.
