Tweaked tune after fixing boost leaks. Pulled clutch switch off bee r to see if it is causing hesitation on gear change.

Fitted yellow jacket coilpacks for testing. Still runs on 6 which is a good start, haven't driven it yet tho.

Painful day for me. Noticed a small coolant leak on the garage floor from the slicktop. Was from the bleed tap. Long story short, I replaced the standard rubber o-ring after it started leaking due to crumbling with a viton o-ring. Well now the viton o-ring was leaking due to expanding! Luckily I bought a couple so I had a spare, so jacked the car up and swapped out the o-ring without loosing much coolant. Let the engine idle up to operating temps and no sign of leak, so fingers crossed I won't have to fix that again.

While I had the car up, I decided to remove the front bumper and have a poke around. I removed the SMIC ducts so I could access the headlight bolts. Going to remove them to clean them up. The duct on the RHS was pretty badly beaten up and bent, held together with gaffer tape. I have Z1 BA SMIC's coming soon & they won't fit them anyway, so in the bin they went.

Also removed the mesh from the front bumper.

Lastly got the engine on to the stand.

ASI 56mm radiator? You'll notice that neither the bung nor the radiator itself is tapered for an o-ring. Subsequently, tightening it up just stretches the o-ring.

Had this happen on my Z, and seen it on a few others. Replace the o-ring with a fibre washer instead. Didn't have an issue after that.

    Thanks Micheal.

Yep you hit the nail on the head, that is exactly what is happening. I'll invest in a fibre washer ASAP.

Washed some junk 17" wheels from the 92TT, got them back from the scarp metal pile when i still had some room in the container.
"MODENA - Auto Strada" would look good with a pair of aviators, mustache and a ferrari.

Then tested a few electrical things on the project, seems to be fairly sound in that regard!

It's quite easy just get some LED strip lighting and you can wrap it around under neath the switches and just hack into your window loom for power :)

And suddenly, a wild red-hot, in cabin oil leak appears!
Anti is dealt +50 damage, with -150% libido due to a burnt crotch.

I'd be interested to know how the calibration of these mechanical gauges has lasted over the past 50 years :p

What he hasn't mentioned is the other 2 gauges are faded from 50 years of being in the sun XD
