oh god come off it would you? he's got tyres that don't match SHIT RUN FOR THE HILLS op, don't ask for advice and then go "gaaaay". makes you look like a dickhead. get some new tyres, or drive better, or both. both of these things are common sense
Nothing fancy, no electronic wheel alignment. There's always a guy in every help thread who blames the owner's driving. Sometimes it's true, sometimes it's not. I can tell when my car is giving me less grip than it should. And I will drive it more gently, but it's a sports car, and if something's up I'd like to know about it rather than just baby it all the time. And don't you tell me getting your car back from a tyre place that's unfit for road use isn't gaaaaay.
Drive to conditions, in the wet a TT Z will kill you & other innocent people if you drive it like a hormonal teenager, slow down, period
In 4th I was testing it. But I definitely didn't think it would lose traction like it did. 4th of course wasn't too bad but it still did it!
I can spin all gears when I park in oil. No matter how slow i put my foot down. Should I get my car detuned? Seriously. I need to see a video to fix it.
If you have after market wheels, the vibrating will most probably be from lack of hub centric rings. If that's not the case, it's your balancing... Better yet... I reckon, since you have Blue Streak's, on of your tyres has separated due to UNDER inflation. Or the fact that it's just an absolute junk tyre. Either that, or the Bob Janer. I'd take it in to a tyre shop and get them to inspect the tyre for a flat spot/separation.
A lot will also come down to the road condition, surface make-up, time since last decent rain, oil on road etc etc. No tyre will hold you onto a sufficiently slippery surface. I'm not going to judge you, but don't blow your reputation on here in one single thread
What's your point, Martin? You object to my criticism of. and advice on, unsafe and illegal tyre-fitting by someone who "launches" in the pouring rain and has no idea of what happened, or why(and then you go on to paraphrase what I have already said). How about YOU "come off it"(but then we all know what your observance of the Law pertaining to sensible road use is, don't we)?[TIS]
Why must you resort to petty name calling? All it does is ask for arguments. No need to make things so personal...
Nah it can't really be the rims/tyres, as they've been completely swapped over since i got the car, but the problem has persisted unchanged. Might've been the stretch of road. I'd be interested to see what happens next time I stop there in the wet.
2 tires I've never heard of, and a pair of tires that I would never put on a Z - put some good quality tires on it, same tread on all corners.
Sooooooo, you also have different rims? On the same axle? Presuming they are even the same size, quite possibly different weights, offsets, etc....
Pretty positive you will find that in Victoria you can have different tyres/tread even on the same axle. It is an urban myth that it's illegal ( in Victoria ) have no idea about other states. not saying it's smart though.
No, no, all stockies, but they came from different places. It's not like they all came off one car with one set of tyres wearing evenly. Hence the tyres not all matching.
