Well i thought id start my build thread finally, as im starting to get a bit of momentum up with what im planning to do with this car. Have some pics to start with thats how the car looks right now. Stock everything , except for the wheels which are Koya Inox 1 alloys in 18" wrapped in Maxxis tyres, which i think are good value for money tyres..... Its had a respray in 2003 in what i was told is a Honda NSX yellow, (from factory metallic brown) but im yet to find a colour code or anything like that I added the plates when it got here, as i bought the car sight unseen apart from a few photos form victoria, big risk but turned out ok i think...theres a few marks around the car, but pretty tidy overall.... I recently made the decision to convert the car from NA Auto to Twin Turbo manual, using the parts from my very first zed which is a TT manual in Pearl white, but in poor condition......perfect as a donor car though! So thats it, and ill update as work begins
sorry mate i read that as " top lez " at first glance then re read it as topless. none the less will be good to see this
How does the NA bar go for intercooling? I imagine an intercooler behind that would act more as a heatsink, before it becomes heatsoaked?
it wont be using the na front bar, i have a twinz rear bar, and will e purchasing skirts and a front bar later on, undecided what style yet....
wow ur car looks good in those pics, how come it doesnt look that good in person ahhaha just jokes lol looking forward to this, may have to try and post up some pics of ur first zed love who is going to be the organ donor for this :zlove::zlove::zlove:
let me know mate just let me know when Ross, and I'll be on Holiday over east just joking, We shouldn't have too many issues Andy
gtz r1 and r2 first gen second gen and i think they have a newer style side skirt also. more flush fitting like the kaminari then the older one which is also similar to a bomex side skirt. could be wrong
Performance update.......... This is the cars baseline performance runs, as a 100% stock Non turbo Auto VG30 Dyno result 109.2rwkw 1/4 mile 16.75 seconds, best pass ill be looking to improve both those figures drastically when the TT manual goes in.
believe it or not anti im actually reasonably happy with the dyno figure, i think that for a bog stock auto NA thats a ok result.... the drag time i would have thought would be better , but it seems to really struggle of the line.........you cant stall it up enough againgst the brake pedal for a quick take of, regardless of what i did it would bog down of the line..... in a rolling start situation the car is relatively quick, again, when comparing to other 6 cylinder NA cars
so it doesn't even have a pod filter or catback? I guess that's passable then... definitely the auto holding you back on the 1/4.
nothing........nada.........nil.........zilch...... the only mod that it has that could affect its times are the koya 18" wheels and the tyres, ive got a 245 on the back, which is probly hindering and causing a little of the bogging down im experiencing. The wheels are undoubatably heavier than stock, they arent stupidly heavy, but as always most 18'' wheels will weigh more than a stock 16" zed wheel
