    I'm thinking that my tired and neglected NA Z could get a rebirth as a bosozoku style cruiser.

    The bosozoku style is a tangent of the japanese motorbike gang style of illegally modified, loud exhausted and low cars (usually oldschool models) with stretched rubber on their modest rims, and questionable body condition. I see it as a Rice-Rod or rat-rod ricer style... definately not for the purists, but one nevertheless that looks equally at home on the drift track or prowling the streets looking for kids/animals to run over (death-race style).

    This should explain it:

    [IMG]

    So basically its a cross between NASCAR, Rat Rod, and crazy jap style...
    The pic above is a CG model of a 180sx with a z32 hatch, seems to have a skyline windscreen angle, and custom rivetted panels, and an insane anodized titanium exhaust pipe.

    If this little plan of mine comes to fruition, it will be a crazy cross between bosozoku cruiser, while still maintaining its road legality (exhaust pipes alone on that above model violate division 10.2 of the ADR's straight up :D )

    Nevertheless, your thoughts and opinions are welcomed. Be kind, anyone can get a mass produced body kit and fresh paint (like my other Z)... this revision will be the evil twin

    Must have exposed rivets and at least one plastic window :p

    Im thinking primer grey, Rust (literally rust) twin racing stripes, and the japanese rising sun over rear quarter / hatch.

    Not sure that I could get away with flares on the front... on the back either for that matter. Might learn a thing or two from those 'hellaflush' chaps in that regard...

    Rear wing off a SLR torana will work with a bit of modding too, I reckon :eek:

    Damn, I'm gonna be the next arashi :D (less the paper mache, but with more sheet-metal)

    You could pretty easily replicate look of the shape with paint if your handy with a spray can/airbrush.

    It would look mean as, if I had a tired old na id consider it too!

    Edit: go bare metal!

    The vans are a bit odd... from what I've read there is a few different styles of 'bosozoku' -
    * Shakotan
    * Yanky style
    * VIP style
    * Kyusha style
    * Grachan
    What those vans are is more of a grachan or extreme bosozoku style. Not my cup of tea either...

    Im interested in the rat-rod look, something between a japanese NASCAR and death-race, with that big smack of JDM

    Still a pipe dream. Probably won't eventuate, but damn would it look tuff :cool:

    The exhaust tips are wicked!!!!

    Hmmmm 300zx, with bolt on flares, drag wing, netting in the windows like a nascar racer, and drift flutes...

    Could be intersting :)

    Perhaps the front/rear guard setup of John's (UAS R&D) kit might work... only if not as agressive.
    Still... needs more rivets.

    Or even the ab-flug widebody... the one where the front guards form a 'wing' over the front wheel, and it wraps around behind the wheel on the trailing edge...

    You could try something like this with flares on the rear...

    Its a 2-seater slicktop... so fuel filler would need relocating, or risk ruining flare with the leading edge cut-out.

    That's an interesting rear wing too. I remembered that 'whale tail' wing that some people have.

    Im sure you would be able to find universal flares without the fuel filler hole cut in

    Hrm its a hard ask. The potential is there but will the following.

    That blue and black one interests me. Its got a good mix.

    I think you could pull it off with the flares and modified front and rear end. Some good paint and a little flaky rust.

    Whats that culture with the rusted bonnets? Obviously it wont work for the z32 but get that affect happening. Oh and im very impressed with the rising sun idea.

    I have plans for a Bluebird rally/track thrash around vehicle and i want to have the rising sun on the complete bonnet. Looks mad.

    Get your drawing hand happening and sketch some ideas. Upload. And go from there.

    Best of luck.
