I know these aren't japtec side mounts, and would assume they are UAS SMIC's as thats what MR TT was advertised as having. Were these custom made by UAS? How do they perform? they look pretty damn good

I paid $1450 7 years ago. Then they lowered it to $1195 or so I think.

Yep, I paid about $1100 around the same time. From memory they were made by Mick's Metalcraft out near Guildford(no longer in business).:zlove::zlove:

Good cheap stuff ey, so true....

I remember about 8 years ago a front mount intercooler was around 3 grand. People used to cut down truck cores and fabricate end tanks to save lots of money.

The internet has slapped alot of businesses with a reality stick.

They look the same as my UAS SMIC's.
Mine were on theZ when I bought it, but I have the receipt from UAS - $980 + $50 freight to ACT as part of a forum GB in 2003.

    I'd go for...

...tube and fin over bar and plate SMIC's.

Though everyone raves about the Stillen SMIC's and they're bar and plate... go figure. :)

Bar and plate will flow better internally, but in the corner position where air flow may be limited tube and fin flow better externally.

I read your previous post as you have the AU Turbo IC's? which are bar and plate but now you don't recommend them? sorry mate if I'm reading you wrong.

Both the AVS and AU models are bar and plate, its just a pricing point that puts me off the others and anything is better than stock. I only push 12-14psi.

they greddy ones I sold were tube and fin...

With the side indicators removed they would get a lot more air flow as well. I'll look at improving the ducting if I keep the car
