Erm, I meant motto farm. Raymond terrace proper was bypassed with the road improvements.

I thought it might be a chance to stretch the old legs before the back roads up to armidale. Other than that, its a lunch stop at tamworth a few hours later (unless you wanna bomb thru Uralla or somewhere, might not have the capacity for 20 hungry zedders.)

I think Lunch proper will be in Armidale if all goes to plan.

Motto farm is the strip of shops, etc at that roundabout yeah?? Sounds a good meet point.

So these will be the sydney, central coast, newcastle meet points and times

    Mobil Service Station - 5am.
    Ourimbah Rest Stop - 6am
Motto Farm McDonalds - Breaky stop and final meet, should be there at 7am, aim to leave at 7:30/7:45.

With a few pit stops along the way, should see us in Armidale at a nice leisurely time of 1:30pm for lunch.

PM me if your meeting us at any of the meet points so we don't choof off without you.

We still going be heading up the planned route with all the current rain?

One of my dad's trucks are stuck up at QLD with all the rain, he said he will let me know tomorrow what Tamworth is like, just asking if anyone on here knows anything else?

Hasn't really been raining on the north west slopes so the route is still a great run, but if it is raining badly for the easter weekend, I'll be suggesting the new england as much as it pains me.

I know there hasn't been much rain, but floods from the north are coming down, we should be fine fingers crossed.
Though for the last few years good friday = storms [TIS]

Flood waters head further west on their travels from QLD to VIC, we'll be literally heading through the mountains, the only risk is when it's been raining heavily in the mountains, then you can have issues.

There will be some of the fellas from newcastle catching up at the motto farm maccas at 7am.

My Black TT will be making its public debut "DVL-300" and maybe even my trusty silver NA under the unwaivering navigation of another local Zeder whose Z has met with a less-than-timely erratic idle and stalling issue.

Drivers should be warned of some less-than ideal road surface south of Walcha. Zeder 1984, who will be joining us drove this route last sunday.

Keep an eye out for us on the way.

    Will link up at Walcha.....

Have been in contact with Walcha Shire Council and they reckon TB Way is in good condition at the moment

Seeing as it's never been in "good" condition, I am assuming they mean no major catastrophy has occurred recently
Bucketts Way is a top piece of road but make sure your dentures are in properly before you hit Thunderbolt

It's raining constantly up here at the moment, but no storms so everything should be okay.

Will wait at the Tourist Information Centre, opposite the park (clean toilets for all those bladders that have been massaged on Thunderbolt Way :D)

They've resurfaced a fair bit of it when I went through at xmas time...still some area's of less than perfect tar, but all in all, better than the new england.

How will we go for 98RON fuel on the way thru thunderbolts? Considering I only get about 300km per tank around here, I think I may be stretching it a little fine?

Tamworth will have it for sure... But I'd love to see 50 zeds lining up for a single pump at some small country roadhouse.

    Fill up at Motto Farm.....

Gloucester and Walcha will only have premium. If you only get 300kms/tank it might be a good idea to put your mobile phone under the accelerator  That should allow you to limp into Uralla or Armidale for a refill
