Yet again not many words and a few pics of a modified fuel rail, have drilled rail out to 13mm and welding 3/8 fittings all round. reason for modding is larger injectors will be fitted to stock rail. (sards) please give me your feed back. will have more pics up on monday.cost of fittings so far 10 bucks. yes i have removed all the burrs sard collars ill be making
nice work man . have u considered braising some AN fittings onto the ends so you can eliminate a extra leak points very impressive man.. as long as the rail holds pressure and u dont have dramas with orings. u will be laughing
nah all tig.cant braze lol.. will pressure test to 70psi once im done. final fitup on fittings will be glued. these rails are so restricted ay. cheers
man u have crazy skills feel like whipping me up a bracket for my engine brace some time in the future
Now somebody explain me what will be the difference with this modified rail and 300 degree rail. Will the new type nismo 760cc injectors will fit in this rail?
this is a stock fuel rail that ive just drilled the guts out because they are hell restrictive. this setup fill allow more fuel to flow to injectors. so any injectors that fit into stock rail will fit into this. you like
no dude this isnt changing the rail specs. this is purely a stock rail opened up a bit more. series 1 spec... for 740s u need a series 2 rail and machined plenum OR 300 rail
new type nismo injectors are like sr20 ones from memory witch are like my vq ones so im not sure if they will fit. but as per usual i could be wrong
These stock rails done like this (same as mine BTW) are better than the 300 degree rails. These are still insulated from the lower plenum by the plastic isolators. The 300 degree rails are hard bolted to the lower plenum and transfer more heat to the fuel which isnt good. Well done saving cash dude !!
