saw the same at Redbank. Nice paint job..... shame about the Veilside kit. Think he was living at Dinmore for a while, on the Warrego and Cunningham Highway connection road.

 

yes I know very old post but this charcoal Z at HFM is mine now. Bought it from a nice girl who wanted a new set of boobs, which she got, and every time I see her she says she wants the car back.

The reason it hasnt been seen is because 2 weeks after me buying it it blew a head gasket which was catalyst for me to begin a major rebuild.

While the engine was being built by SWIFT race engines in archerfield I decided to get married and the wife put the brakes on the project after hearing how much it was going to cost to finish. She has now moved out while aparently deciding if she still wants to be married or see other blokes.

Great opportunity to kick the project back into gear after 2 and a half years of sitting in the corner of the shed untouched. Might start a thread in the rebuilds section once I can find the usb cable for the camera.....

 

Hey daves, so are you located in Toowoomba then? I'm in Toowoomba, should catch up some time.

What are your plans for the rebuild anyway mate?

right now im in toowoomba but I live and work about 8hrs drive from here on a farm. I go back and forwards fairly often atm while the missus is living with her parents here.

first step for the rebuild is to get the body straightened and painted. will have to wait and see what my friend (panelbeater) says about the damage I came across last night while stripping the engine bay.

the car will eventualy be a quick, tidy streeter with power levels around 350kwatw.

 

Maybe you could just offer the car back to the girl...

 

I have offered it to her on multiple occasions but she simply does not have (or not willing to part with) any money. Besides, a project is realy good for distracting my mind lately

 

I spotto a gunmetal Gray one in Kallangur with what looked like volk chrome wheels and a huge veilside bodykit, Each to there own But Not for me (Yark)

spotted OZX_320 on the warrego highway not too long ago, u took the turn off before me, was gonna wave if u caught up, only just noticed you in the rear view mirror before u exited

BTW, never seen this car in person before now, and i never really seen a car with different colour bonnet to the rest of the car, but urs i like

 

Had you come to Willowbank you coulda seen it in person It's an iron-on cover that looks like carbon fibre from what I remember.

Saw you coming, copped a wave from mini woosh in passenger seat. Getting parts to fix ride-on. Starting to question WHY I'm fixing it so that I can mow in this heat, and regretting EVER buying a John Deere.

No iron on cover, the real deal. Think it's a "Jetspeed" type. Surprisingly well fitting and too cheap to pass up at the time. Fibreglass internal base, cf mesh top. Know because the transport company ignored the "FRAGILE- HANDLE WITH CARE" stickers plastered all over the packaging, breaking 1 of the tips of the bonnet.
