It's to equalize the boost between both banks. Not needed if your actuators are set correctly IMO.

yer true but dosnt that have the same effect as the hard pipe on top of the manifold??

Pretty much, just allows more flow. If you have that much of a pressure difference then something is wrong IMO.

    Take this advice.

It became fashionable a few years ago, as a way to use only one BOV for both turbo's(BOV mounted centrally on the tube):zlove:.

They're only needed when you convert to a FMIC. With SMIC's the system is naturally ballancing because the exhaust gases from one head compresses the inlet air for the other head. The FMIC removes the crossover and the balance pipe before the throttle bodies is used to compensate.

I believe that the extra balance pipe is to resolve low speed issues only (you might want to search twinturbo.net for more details on this).

Seen that setup several times in the past....

Also seen an additional injector fitted centraly in the extra balance pipe, which supposedly gave a few shots of fuel at low revs to get a better "off the line" responce.
Also seen 2 extra injectors fitted where the extra pipe joined the main pipes for the above reasons....

Dont know if it was bull or just plain shit
