What year is my engine?

hi guys,

i recently dropped a low k engine into my Z and i'm ready to throw a new exhaust on and 555cc injectors, its just occurred to me that i didnt check the id plates on the halfcut to tell me the year of the engine. Is there an easy way to determine what year the engine i have is? 89-93.. 94-96?

should have thoght about that before you bought your injectors..

89 to 94 have a different injector setup compared 2 95+

also cas is different, injector connectors, speedo , power steering pump... ptu, wiring harness...

 

i should have said ready to 'buy' injectors, havent brought them yet.

try to get the model number if you can from passenger side. see pic below.
If it is L40P thenit is 89-94 model. If L48P then 95+.

Also check the CAS. If it looks like below then you may have 95+ engine but Pre 95 model engine can also have series II CAS.
