Targa Shades

Not meaning to start any fights or disagreements...in fact to settle one once and for all.

Is there is a difference between 2+2 and 2+0 targa shades.
And will it being Aus-spec or J-spec make a difference.

Please provide pics of whether it fits or does not fit. The shades are marked with 4R/4L or 2R/2L

They both fit both cars, No pics but I have done it. Beleive it or not

 

I just tried a 2seater shade on a 4seater targa top.

I could only get one of the plastic screws to line up, the other one was out by 4-5mm. A slight trimming of the shade on the outer edge would make it fit.

A 4seater shade might fit on a 2seater OK (?)

 

My 2+2 targa also has shades that only line up with one screw (same as Stefs).

J-spec car by the way.

 

4 seat into 2 seat does work.

 

Confirmed, i just fitted 2+2 shades into my 2+0 and they fit perfect, no probs at all..

 

So
2+2 into a 2+0 works
2+0 into a 2+2 does not work

 

Seems like thats the pattern that's appearing. But why...and how? If the knobs can line up for one then it must line up for the other.

Also are the shades size different? And are the targas interchangeable between 2+0 and 2+2?
