I'm with you Douggy. A fine example of an NA Zed with quality parts and a fine service history. All it's recent work was done by some of the best zed specialists in Melbourne.
Yep, I've driven Russ (ZedHed's) car and can confirm it is in great condition! And I second Wykked's statement that the car has been serviced by the best in Vic.
I have pretty much the same mods Russ (Zedhed) has on his car and have no trouble getting insurance for it through standard (not expensive specialist like Just Cars) insurance companies. One of the joys of an Aus spec is ease and cheapness of insurance. I agree with you on the dual tip mufflers, not a difficult or expensive thing to do though, there is a group buy going on Magnaflow mufflers at the moment too. Russ is pretty pedantic with looking after his car and if he gets Joe to do an inspection for you it's a pretty safe bet. As you said, he just needs to get organized and put the ad up...
Thanks for the kind words guys! Much appreciated! My beloved NA will go up for sale as soon as I can get the new TT sorted!.....hopefully not too far off now! I'll be sure to keep 'Bunny' posted regarding the sale!
Make an offer of 0.50C and start running... Mate, if you are serious and like the car and meets your requirements then pay the asking price. If you are going to crap on for a couple of hundred dollars, don't buy a Z32. All I can say is that repairs cost if you pay someone else to do them. And they cost BIG. And all that talk about it being a 20YO car? On that basis, we should all be driving around with SHELBY Cobras, Mustangs, Corvettes, GTO'S which we either purchased for vurtually free of given to us for free. I don't think so. Buy a LASER! Peter
I payed about $17k for my n/a about 6 years ago and since then the only problem that i ever had was a clutch master leak it cost me $150 to replace it , not bad for 6 years you got to have patience , i was looking around for about 1+ years before i found the right one and just like some of the other members sugested its better to pay afew dollars more now to save posible headaches down the track , and going down the n/a road is a smart move compared to the troubles of tt's
mine is a 93 na aus-spec 2+2 and i pay just under $3,000 a year fully comp but i only had my license for a few months when i purchased it and insured it. i did have companys quote me $5,000 will be a bit cheaper now cos ive had it for a year and half and will go to rating 5 but im going to shop around to try and get it as cheap as i can.
Ouchhhhh god I remember these times , glad I stuck with an old commodore v8, but thats when P platers could have good cars Also might wanna just get 3rd party (for a crappy car anyways) and build up so you can get full comp for a zed alot cheaper when you got max no claim bonus, or close to it, I pay $600 a year for my TT through NRMA @ 28
yeah, are you saying my car is crappy or i should just get a crappy car with 3rd party until my insurance is cheaper on the zed? i hate it been so expensive im on my p 2's get my full license in a few months. ahh 600 a year is awsome price cant wait till im at that stage by then ill own a tt version aswell.
