Hey guys.. sorry:( if this is already on the forum i have searched fairly extensively and havnt been able to find what i am looking for..

While ive been fixing my power window i figured i might as well do a bit of temporary twweaking with my audio.

    So this is the go.
I pulled the rear speaker covers off to find kenwood 6 inches with tweaters in there (that was a surprise to me i was expecting the stock ones cause the current system sucks) and the original 4 inches(or whatever they are) in the doors.. (which you can hardly hear)

So laying around in my house ive got a set of pioneer 6x9's and i have been told that they will fit in the that back speaker housing without to much effort by other members on the forum (i think it was fate) . i was wondering if there was a guide to this or if anyone had some advice on how to do it? even some pictures of the result would help me HEAPS. im not looking to rip the car to pieces for audio sake.. but i am looking to definately put 6x9s in those rear capsuals. So the plan is to move the 6 inches into the doors and install the 6x9's is it doable:help:

Any help or advice would be fantastic cause im looking at doing this at some stage tomorrow.

Thank you for your support in advance.

    Definitely Do-able...

Just a matter of trying to find the right information. Made difficult by the fact you can't just search 6x9.

Failing that - ZTOY would love to help you :D :cool2:

Hi I was wondering if you ever got the speakers installed? - if so could you please post some pictures as i blew both my rear speakers up and am extremely dumbfounded as to how you would fit a set of 6x9's in the rear??

easiest way i think you can hook up some 6*9's are by removing the rear plastics and mounting the speakers that way and cutting or fabbing some brackets up if needed...thats the only way i can think of doing it 'easily'

hey, i mustn't of dug deep enough into the forum sorry!
after reading through all that, I am extremely tempted to try for some 6" splits, although if I do this, I will probably put them in the front, and transplant my existing fronts to the rear...

through that thread there were no posts of ANY speakers mounted, do you have an example of 6.5" speakers mounted in the rear? or any size at all mounted? - just for reference please =)

some guys just make the hole bigger by either cutting or filing it or just making some new 6''/6.5'' brackets...not that hard once you have taken out the boot trim

    Hey mate,

No a few mates and I tried to install some of the 6x9's into the rear but I wasn't comfortable with the cosmetic surgery I had to do to the speakers so I ended up just installing some 6 inches with tweaters in the back and some alpine type r 6.5 inch into the front and it is plenty
