I have a pair of Bridgestone RE050A Run flats 18" 255x35 with 9-10/32 (100% tread). Awesome performance tyres. The only reason I'm getting rid of them is because I can't get them on my rims. I've got 10.5 inch rims and these will not stretch to fit because of the thick side walls that come with the run flat technology href="http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/technologies/rft/default.aspx">run flat technology.
They retail for over $500 each - asking $500 for the pair.

Is it illegal to have runflats without the sensors?

my mate at jax quickfit is putting a set of 245 runflats on my 11" volks,

how did you try to stretch them? with air? or explosively?

Couldn't get anyone to even attempt it. Called 4 fitters and they each said they would stretch, but not enough to stretch over a 10.5.

ohk, yeah it means there trying with air, explosively is a little more experimental and you need to find either a friend or specialist to do them,

    gl with the sale mate,

and for those that dont know,

on BMW's, not having runflats viods your warranty, there must be some good to them :D
    and these last forever aswell

I'd by these for my front rims if your were in sydney.
Your pushing it, with a 245 on a 11" rim. My 10" rears had 245/40's stretched on it and it was pretty bad, got rid of them a week later.

ok, just got the call off my mate, he just stretched a 255 onto my volk 17x11" rim, and 225 onto my volk 17x10" rim,

and dont stress, drift use only, only slapping them on cos we want to see how long runflats last.

Ah k as long as your not stupid enough to run around on sydney roads with that combination. I think that runflats require a certain type of bead on the rim to run them and they can't be used on standard bead rims. Only saying what Mr. Bridgestone told me, might be possible but not recommended.
Also why blow all that money on them only to be shredded, get the same amount of tyre shreddin from standard tyres.

The side walls of run flats are extermely stiff. I doubt you will stretch these on those rims or even want to.

BTW I have an almost new set of these as as well. they are sitting there waiting for my Potenza G3's to wear out. But what i am missing is a pair of 235/40/18's of run flats for the front. you got any of them?

BTW apparently it is illegal to fit these without the sensors. But I aint got a spare in my car so I dont care. :p

Yeah I enquired about that. Bridgestone told me you needed the bead, the 2 other fitters I asked both told me it wasn't necessary.

I have these tyres in 255/30 19 on all 4 corners and they are an awesome tyre.
People should bye it for this price.

Tekkie, its a wive's tale about using them with out sensors being illegal. What this has stemed from is that some folks are getting rid of their spares, saying they have run flats. Well that make the car unroad worthy as it was not designed that way.
The other one is that there is a bit of a study being done inregards to not running run flats on all tyres, apparently thy think it has a similar effect ont he car's stability as ply and radials. Don't quote me on that I was chewing the fat with a police woman that lives in our street.

we got them free, as we do all our tyres, so cost wasnt an issue,
and you dont need a special bead, they will fit on normal rims.

Tektrader - they have already been stretched and worked fine.

I thought it might be handy to note that they have a load rating of 90W. Isn't the minimum rating 92 for a zed?
