Cars running SWEEET. Purs like a kitten. With a SH*TLOAD of torque. Must be the higher compression and auto cams. Ive only taken it to about 4.5k but it pulls like a freight train compared to what is used to be like. I imagine the power would be at LEAST double compared to what it was before. I ended up copying the safety maps over to the main maps. There is no sign of detonation at all. The knock link it wound over to max and it doesnt even flinch. The bottom green light goes to its second stage, but thats it. Before the thing lit up like a Christmas tree when even i put my foot down. The fuel maps are set to 12.5 from idle to 4000rpm, from then on it goes down a point to 11.5 The new suspension is fantastic !!!!. REALLY happy with the way it turned out. There is slightly more road noise but you cant hear it over the exhaust anyway. Vibrations are more or less the same, even with the solid steering mount. It doesnt hop about anymore, the shocks just do their thing. It gets hot when your up it, but that would just be the FMIC with the stock unmoded bar and no splash guard. I now need to book in a tune, where is a good tuner in bris that has quality work and tunes. ECU is nistune, but any monkey should be able to use this. I figured it out fairly quickly. I was thinking Gavin Wood. edited pic for security reasons.
ACL pistons Scat rods ACL bearings ARP bolts Cometic head Re seat valves AMS manifolds and dumps z1 600r turbos 555's Balanced BDE camgears Stock auto cams. and fmic. All the work apart from the actual maching of the head and block was done my me. So it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Hopefully the engine will hold up and wont break down. But i have this funny feeling i may be in trouble, it could just be nerves. I know how bad it can be when rebuilt engines die prematurly. I makes me sad thinking about it. It was well worth it getting everything balanced, the engine spins soo smothly.
very nice im thinking the same sort of build for mine and doing the work my self as well. im sure it will be fine i used to rebuild motors every week and i still get nerves lol and i have built the same type of motor like 50+ times before hand lol
Hmm yeah i've just done pretty much exactly the same build (without turbos) big diff is that mine hasn't started yet!
Oh yeah i didn't do any suspension if you are asking me? although i have put koni shocks on the back and lowered springas all round. ps. ZEDZY congrats! i'm very envious atm.
Replaced EVERY bush. Camber arms front rear, traction rods, castor rods. Replaced a few loose balljoints ect. Tien SS coilovers AUS spec. Whiteline swaybars. Hicas delete. Alloy cradle mounts. Alloy steering shaft join. Its soo smooth now, almost like floating on glass when your on a good road. The car doesnt hop around when your at speed anymore, all im waiting for now is front and rear strut braces, and maby a few custom braces to really tighten it up. Its just a good all around street car. Everything came together perfectly. Every time i drive it i still cant believe i built it. All the worries from hard work and money spent are virtually non existent. I still have to fit the stereo and mount my front bar. Fix a few small problems. If the car is lucky it might even get a small paint job. It feels better than my new mazda 3 i used to have, in every way.
