on sat i took the zed to mackay for some drag racing fun.. my mate blew his turbo seal on the drive down just outside mackay and gave me his slicks to race on.

i lined up for a practice run not knowing the track i took it easy down the track slowing down early to be able to follow the other car out.. i had just run a 13.7 at 99mph.. very happy with that..

lined up for a second run old mate next to me stuffed me round and i run a 14.1

3rd run i did a big burn out then launched down the track.. i lost power around 100-120km/hr and started slowing to see what happened. old mate next to me slowed down and asked if i was ok and to look behind me.. the track was covered in thick white/blue coloured smoke. the officials had closed down the track to clean up the oil i had dropped mid track..

i got back to the pits with my mate coming over to say i've blown both turbos! we checked the hard pipe kit i had fited and they had oil in them.. checked under car and there was oil every where. while the car was running thick smoke was coming out, and the rear of the car is covered in a oilly film..

here you can see the amount of oil coming from both turbos all over the underneath of the car..

i had to ring my dad to come and pick me up with a car trailer, as being 400km from home i was stuffed..

the car is now siting in airlie beach (having a holiday lol) while i think of a plan of attack on what to do.. any ideas from the flloor?

    geez...thats sucks, sorry to hear.

first thing i would do would be to pull those turbos off and check what kind of damage has been done and hope to god nothing went through your intake into the engine itself...

pull out the engine, check the turbos an then plan to rebuild and make it better then ever!

ohh... and buy a daily driver car, looks for a cheapo s13 bunky lol
i've got one and i love it... so much fun!

I'm saving to pull my engine and replace turbos and upgrade/replace alot of stuff as fairly certain my driver's side exhaust turbo seal is goneskies and smoke isn't a good thing  so figure while engine is out i'll do what i can.

Keep in touch mate, really keen to help out so i can learn so i can possibly do some of mine and save some cash.

    Cheers,

    Adam
