Not having entered my car, I have no real issue with the cars chosen. I am a little surprised that two of the NSW cars entered(both of which would be close to the best examples in Australia)did not get a start, although a couple of scrappy examples did make the grade.
I suppose there is always next year.

Yes, I was surprised that a few cars didnt vote better, in a few certain cases the photos supplied let the cars down.

This is why the voting was left for everyone, as I didnt want one person to choose the cars as this was evidently going to happen.

All I can say is for people to be grateful that there is even a calendar to be in! I did this out of a love for the car, not wanting arguements about who did and who didnt get in.

    Cheers, Andrew

    Andrew...

I would like to say thanks for all the effort you have gone to in preparing this calendar. It has taken you considerable time for close to nothing profit. Which is why it saddens me that some people (thankfully only a minority) are able to whinge and whine about the cars appearing in the calendar... I dont know how the voting system could have been any fairer... At the end of the day, we should be happy that there is going to be a zed calendar at all, because frankly, I have never seen a dedicated Z32 calendar anywhere... Seriously, some of you guys need a good dose of some "suck it up princess"...

    Cheers

Yes Andrew, you are to be congratulated for the effort you have devoted to this project(and I have no doubt that the finished product will be excellent).
My earlier comments are related to the curious voting results(this is frequently reinforced in the Political arena in this country)there is no logic to what some people vote for(or against).:rolleyes::zlove::zlove:

The cars of both Jedi and yourself are worthy contenders for selection IMHO.
But, just as the surprise that some express(in regard to cars that missed-out)is now being labeled as "sour grapes", it is equally reasonable to expect that comments from those whose cars "got in" are similarly biased, is it not?:p:p;)
    Let the War commence!:eek::zlove::zlove:

Well mine didn't get in (nor did I enter) so I wouldn't say my comments are 'similarly biased.'
Had Steven been included in the calendar, I highly doubt he would have any concerns as to sponsorship and would be smiling ear to ear. These are all great cars, and the businesses featured do a fantastic service to the 300zx community. Without such support for our aging sports cars, we'd all be left in the dark and the scene would not be what it is today. The more zeds on the road the better IMO :zlove:

We weren't even considering your entry to the competition (to which I have absolutely no idea what you entered and couldn't care less - obviously something that hasn't stuck in my memory). You come on here and start mouthing off, purely because you weren't included in a calendar?

Well the obvious ones got in, congrats all.

The only suggestion for those who are dissapointed would be to include everyone's entry on one page of the calendar somewhere? or as one of the months. A big collage maybe.

Anyway, thanks for doing this Andrew !

    Chili...

I have no issue with people being surprised with the final list. I too voted for some cars that I thought were a definite and in the end didnt make the cut. What gets my back up is people like Romonski (or whatever his name is) who carry on like little girls because his car didnt get in the calendar..:) If it makes him feel any better I'll gladly tell Andrew to take my car out and put his car in.. Its a calendar ffs, any Z32 representation is good representation....:)

    Cheers

Your suggestion of a single page collage of all the entrants, is an excellent solution to this discussion.
Perhaps Andrew could look at this seriously(maybe the back page/cover)?

lol, not many people have asked me about this until now. Too busy complaining about who got in top 12 I guess....It is funny you should mention the idea as I have i have about 6 different potential cover designs lined up with just such use of ALL of the members who submitted photos....The cover design is yet to be decided, but will be revealed soon!

I suggested a collage to you when we were at DECA Andrew. Perhaps split the cars accreoos the fron and back cover so that once the calander has been finished with the cover can be folded out and used as a giant poster.

Aww. Boo at my not getting in. I won't say I'm not disappointed - I'm sure everyone who submitted their car and didn't get it in is thinking "darn, would have been nice if...", however I think the cars that made it deserved to, as otherwise people wouldn't have voted for them. Everyone just needs to realise people won't necessarily like the same thing they do, and while some people favour neat stock cars, others favour the track-loving beasts. What I can see is that there's a good mix of both tidy NA's, neat TT's, and some awesome track cars, in a variety of colours.

    In closing, hooray for zeds!

PS, Romonski: how did I sit across from you for a full 20 hours yesterday/this morning, discuss zeds on DC++ chat for an hour, and not realise you were on the zed forum? I even walked past your car and said "Hey that guy's on the 300zx forums" to someone, without figuring out your nickname or where I recognised it from. :p.

It shouldnt have to come to anything like that......its pretty said if it did.

Look , i was very dissapointed that "my" car didnt make it to the top 12 ....BUT a spread of people voted, and if its not in the 12 then the majority of people dont consider it worthy, i'll live with that.

Congratulations’ to all those that made the 12...
