    Hey all,

After many months of trying to get Jericho working properly, she now is running smoothly. Turns out there were many small cracks in the coil packs. I remember I did swap coil packs but I admit I did it one at a time not taking into consideration that it could be multiple packs damaged. So when funds are back, I'll be investing in a set of new Splitfire coilpacks.

Big thanks to everyone who has helped, Rollin for the engine rebuild and all round help with my car, drz400y for getting my car moving when it didn't want to and also helping to try and sort out my problems. And last of all thanks to the guys @ EFI Performance, they installed the Nistune, found the last of my issues and tuning the car. They have quite a lot of equipment there like a Pico (I guess an osilloscope?), smoke boost leak tester, lots of workshop space and generally all round nice guys.

Anyway, I've finally got the car tuned at 17psi with ATR25's (280hp version) and I'm happy with the result. The car runs smoothly, has a nice power figure and looks great. I couldn't ask for more really. I'd say with a decent electronic boost controller I could flatten out my boost after it hits 17psi and possibly get a better result :)

    just found this

"It's pretty much a stock engine with just some ARP bolts, full balance, metal headgaskets and some port cleaning. Stock cams, manifolds etc.

Mods are pod filter, full 2.5" exhaust, lightened flywheel and UDP, 555 Injectors, Nistune and FMIC. That's all for performance mods."

    are you running stock dumps?

can someone who knows their shit comment on the most likely reason it doesnt make any more power over 5k rpm??

    thanks :)

Ahh sorry, running those generic tune agent style dumps.

That would be due to the VCT. If I wanted more power in the higher RPM's we could have shifted when the VCT but then I would have lost power in the mid range. Well thats what was explained to me anyway.

That's great to see Marc! so happy to see it finally working as it should. and nice power figure from the 280hp's aswell. Will be looking forward to seeing it again at Gympie. :)

Nice curve? check out the RPM, full boost (17 PSI) at 5200 rpm?

Why are they so laggy? Do you have an EBC or boost jets...

Just a basic EBC (there is no display, etc. Same function as a manual controller just has a solenoid instead of a T)

I want a ride in it at gympie before you get completely smashed please :)

Maybe a good EBC will help spool quicker? Good to see all your issues are fixed! It never ends does it...

It can go further, I just don't want to. Cheers for the comments guys and yea I'll be looking at a decent EBC when I have the money (that will be after a brand new set of coil packs). And Chrispy, sure thing but it's nothing too impressive heh. It's quick but nothing to rave on about.
