Might try it on 5% duty cycle and see if I can get a respose... Performing CPR on a car, who'da thunk it!
Scroll to the end of your settings and you will see "ON" or "OFF", switch that setting over and I think you'll solve your problem. In the "OFF" position the unit looks like it is working but the solenoid wont do anything. Worst case scenario give me a yell and I'll come check it out after work, I've got the same unit and got tricked by it once before.
The last setting is to turn the 3 second peak boost value hold on or off. It's on. It doesn't really matter anymore, I'm pulling the car to bits now.
Hold down the "SELECT" switch for 2 seconds to turn the boost controller OFF. Repeat to turn it back ON. Thats what happened to me.
Aaah yeh, tried that many times. I'll give it one more shot tonight by setting the duty cycle to 5% and with just the power on, no engine, I'll blow as hard as I can into the pressure source hose and see if the solenoid reacts.
Well I could only muster up 2.4PSI of pressure but @ 5% duty cycle on a 6/7PSI actuator I should get some response, right? There was nothing... absolutely nothing Aah well, tomorrow night, the disassembly begins!
I had this problem with my gizzmo ebc and wouldn't boost above 7psi.. Check over all your ebc solenoid wiring! If it's stuck open and not being powered it will only boost to 7psi which is the wastegate actuator tension.
I checked the wiring last night and it was OK but I didn't check where it passes through the firewall so that's the only place there could be a short/break in the connection. Nope, haven't had any error codes since drz400y worked his magic back in Jan/Feb this year
