Who's changed the rear hub bushes themselves? Because it's an absolute f%&*ing c&%# of a job  I have the Energy Suspension bushes and I'm changing EVERY bush in the car. Making the extractors was easier and more fun, and I reckon doing the subframe bushes will be easier as there is plenty of access.

I have rose jointed arms everywhere except the lower arms, so just changing the hub bushes and lower arm bushes.

I've got the traction arm and toe arm bushes out quite easily, but the camber arm and shock mounts are causing me a pain in the arse I don't need. The camber arm bush is the worst, the traction arm mount is in the way. I reckon I could get the shock bush out if I had some 2.5" pipe. All I have is exhaust tube which just deforms.

Also having issues with the lower control arm bushes. The whole shell is supposed to come out yes? The instructions are vague and the pictures aren't clear being printed black and white. The shell is really stuck in good and my press is either 2 times too big or 5 times too small to get it in a spot where I can push the shell out.

I think I will just take them to a suspension shop and get them to do it. Not a happy Chris.

BTW if you pull your handbrake to bits make sure you look how it goes back together. 6 friggen springs and little retainers everywhere, glad my other one is still together to look at.

Run out of duct tape Chris?

    :D:sorry:

Can you drill them out like swiss cheese and get a small hack saw blade in to finish them off?

I have changed plenty of lower control arm bushes on chrysler/dodge cars and they suck too, I just used to oxy cut the bush shell carefully (just a slice) then screw drivers /cold chisels anything to fold/deform the shell , and they would come out ok

I gave this another attempt today after playing with the V8. Knocked the rubber section out with the press then cut two slices with a hacksaw about 10mm apart from each other along the inside of the shell. Some love with a hammer and small cold chisel and it just slipped out. So not too bad :)

Writeup on how to do them all coming soon ;) I kinda wished I never started this as all my bushes were in really good nick :(
