Hi I have an 89 N32 jap import 300zx, and when I go over 105km the car beeps (same beeping noise as when you turn the car off and open the door with the lights on) so im just wondering if there is anyway to stop it from happening because it is pretty annoying on freeway trips were the speed limit is 110km.

    Thanks :)

Yes, remove the gauge cluster sun shade thing. Two big screws near the front. Find the green wire that is near the black beep box and pull out the bullet connector. Put it all back together and you're done.

Highway limit in Japan is 100, guess it's just something to do with that. The Aussie delivered Zeds don't have it.

all jap cars have a 105kph chime. it's there to warn the driver they're creeping over the national limit and they should slow down.

on a related note, you'll also realise one day that your car is limited to 180KPH because all jap domestic cars come with a 180KPH limiter in the interest of safety.
