here in SA, i have shopped around, the cheapest price i can get is $200 per each side 2.5", e.g. put hi-flow cat and muffler on the car. so $400 for labour, byo your parts

i dont know the "average" actually.
anyway that is the cheapest i can find. i have been an exhaust shop, they want $380 for only putting the cats in, and another $580 for making piping (2.5") to connect the cats and mufflers.
another shop want $2000 for doing the whole 2.5" system.

now considering N power, pretty cheap now, under $900 you can get a 2.5" SS turbo back

    latest update:
at long last..I have decided the following. already placed an order waiting to be fitted hopefully this Saturday the latest:

X force stainless steel (304, highly polished, mirror finish)) rear muffler
tip: 4.5" double wall resonated tip (6" long)
    Barrel size: 6X10 (16" long)
    inlet: offset 3"
    Part No: MP02

I will post the review pretty soon..... sound, power etc....the feeling of it.and of course the cons, if any....hope not...:)

I'm sure it will be very loud, with minimal (if any) power gains if the rest of the system is stock.

They'll look pretty good though! :)

WOW...this Xforce muffler is the best. Actually the PT06, 3" double tip, upper offset inlet is the one meant for for 300zx, but being wanting a single tip I chose this MPO9 eventhough it was a bit tight for my 2 seater but fit in alright at last. It was a little bit of an experiment, maybe I am the only xzeder with Xforce MPO9, 3" inlet and 4.5 tip muffler so far. It looks menacing yet refined and respectful.

Amazingly the sound is not that loud at all as expected being fitted to an old stock system thanks to the beautiful 6" long double wall 4.5" resonated tip. I would describe the sound as deep and heavy note but subtle and sweet on idling. For you guys with an upgraded system, I'm pretty sure the sound will be even better. I will upload to YouTube one of these days for you guys to listen. One thing I can assure you, I am extremely happy with the performance, look, build and price of this muffler. I can sense more power now and the real feeling of driving a true sports car.

The X force is all Australian made, now I am proud to have it. Real good value for money. Thanks to Steve Crowe at Carline Muffler Seven Hills for fitting it very nicely for me. I am happy as punch!!
