In response to Evs thread regarding "Bad 300zx choices I've made"...
    I figured i'd start a "Good 300ZX choices I've made" thread!

    So far:

    - Became a member of Aus300zx :)
    - Bought a Z wreck -> Helped me learn a bit about Zeds
    - X-pipe installed + Magnaflows -> Reduced drone and sounds awesome
    - Bought some bling for my engine bay -> Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy
    - Bought a mines ECU -> More agressive at lower rev range (Good 4 now)

Anyways, I havent been around long enough to post any major engine enhancements or mods. More to come tho!

Feel free to spread the word about your good 300zx choices below.

    yay a positive thread !!!

    1) retrimming my car in leather and macroseude, at the expense of the standard tweed trim........
    2) completing the auto to manual conversion
    3) short shifter install, very nice
    4) boost jets, inexpensive yet effective, waztted can testify to what they did to my cars performance hehe:eek::D
    5) my dealings with uas, rob260, gonzo, egg, cresta, pzp, cypher industries, caz racing and many others (sorry if i forgot you) with the purchase of z parts, ive only had 2 bad experiences and both were quickly and easily fixed

loving the z experience, may it never turn sour!

    1. BIG brakes :D, nothing like the confidence of stopping.
    2. Rebuild. Although its not finished its been good fun.
    3. Replaced EVERY factory bush. Havent driven it yet but i really looking foward to it.
    4. Mod'd the shifter so its more solid. again no busings.
    5. Stereo. It looks conservative but when its done it will be really sweet.

Best things I ever did as far as Zeds were concerned dont really have much to do with Zeds, more to do with parts. I havnt got a car at the moment cause I need a crap one that I can destroy to make into a race car but every time I buy one its too awesome to pull to bits.
My brain just wont let me buy a crap one???

    1. Didnt buy a crap zed. (would have been good if I had because I would have the race car finished but good zeds are better)
    2. bought the 997 GT3 cup Brembos off the slot car (sitting on the spare room floor, thinking about puting them on my fairmont till I get a zed
    3. pulling the only crap zed I ever had completely to bits (unfortunately I sold it so now I need another)
    4. buying so many zeds (they are all the same...awesome. good for keeping up my faith that I picked the right car to turn into a race car)
    5. taking so freaking long to do everything. I thought I would get it finished in a year but its been way way more fun and Ive learnt heaps more by taking this long to get all the bits together!!
    6. buying a quad plate OS Giken clutch..........I mean seriously, Ive got to be the only person in aus who did that???:)

    thats it for me

Getting all my OEM parts and head work done in the USA saves me ball loads of cash, even with the crappy exchange rate and additional shipping charges.

    Importing...

I think the best move I made was importing mine from Japan. Took me a long time to find the one I wanted, but my patience paid off in the end. I'm so glad I did take the time to get the one I did. Fricken love her! :)
