Thats right Yellow. Odds are on a pully being ok.
facts still say its a crap concept though.

like making a parachute out of undies, might work but its not a good idea.

If that could be proven, wouldnt that just put an end to this whole argument? lol.

Because It doesnt look like either party is going to back down based on how many zeds have or have not failed while using a non rubberized pulley. lol

    :p

unless the undies belonged to a 500+ lb. woman, in which case it's a great idea. works for skydiving and at the dragstrip anyway... :) 'crap concept' is a little harsh, don't ya think, especially considering how well they seem to work and not cause problems?

I'm neutral in this matter .. BUT .. with all this certainty and what not....

... I just hope that it doesn't take a fatality caused by a mishap either on the track or on the streets to prove someone wrong :(

Yeah! The only thing thatll resolve this is for someone to contact Nissan HQ, and ask for Nissan's reasoning behind putting together to odd contraption. Both sides are passionate about the advice given to them by other professionals in the field... when its better to hear it straight from the horses mouth.

Dunno. Damage left un-addressed as it wasnt picked up on ages ago because dyno figures suggested that everything was in order? Flog an engine enough and itll die on you.. even when all safety boxes have been checked. Just hope it doesn't die on you when you need it to avoid a collision of some sort.
