We have just replaced the heater core and are about to refit the hoses under the bonet but as we did the bypass a while ago neither of us can remember the correct way they go. Is it the top hose from the heater core to the center pipe or the one to the right????? and before anybody gets up me for not searching it I did but could not find a decent picture.
The two hoses are different shapes. It should be quite obvious which hose fits on which pipe, as they don't have to be stretched or kinked to make them fit.
they are slightly separated, drivers' side and pass. side. So, it works out drivers' side on engine goes to drivers' side on fire wall. Pass. side on engine goes to pass side on fire wall. This is the correct way
Probably obvious to somebody who has their head stuck under the bonnet a fair amount of time. Me, I only help hubby when there is a problem. Thanks Chrispy ( I will have a look ) and thanks Benny. Your help is appreciated.
doesnt matter i dont think. cant remember since i havent seen a complete engine for a long time though. but the boys are right they will fit without trouble, just line one up to best fit and your half way there.
The information I gave to you was accurate and easy to check. Your response is rude and insulting. You can look elsewhere for assistance next time.
???????? Lloyd, i didn't see anything insulting at all about her post. She mentioned that it is probably obvious to someone who works on zeds all the time cause she doesn't, as she only helps her husband on it when there's a problem. I think it was actually quite a humble, friendly post.
Totally just taken the wrong way. ^^ I took it as a nice post too. I was going to chime in about the Heater hoses and I even made a long post with pics and everything. Right before I hit the "Post" button I realized...I am not in Kansas anymore...lol Everything is backwards Down Under. You guys even have the steering wheels on the wrong side! =) (prepares for flaming)
Well Benny, from the PM I received, it is clear that Leonie was offended by the answer I gave her at the very beginning of this thread(hopefully that has now been sorted out to our mutual satisfaction).
Ah Chilli my new best friend Thanks guys I am really a very nice person. OBVIOUSLY a bit dumb. I have now found the manual so we should be able to muddle our way through. I still have a problem of cold air on the widscreen and warm air on my feet and unable to redirect the air. any body have any ideas. We have run the diagnostic check and it did not show any errors.
Sometimes the flap control motors for the climate control stuffs up. There is a climate control diagnosis, but I find it tricky to use.
