Not sure airstyle, never even intertained the idea of a front mount, not sure about how you'd secure it to an n/a bar either!
On my NA the splash guard is in two pieces. The front piece (which is still intact and in good condition) fits to the front bar. The rear piece which rotted and fell apart fits to the front piece.
Personal observation: the 'splash' guards must also affect the airflow through the radiator. I ran my NA without the rear one for about 12 months (also had the lower fan shroud off) and the engine temp would sit at around 95degrees at highway cruise speeds. Now I have refitted both, and the engine temp at similar speeds is around 85 degrees.
splash guard My splash guard is completely gone so im making a new front bar that has the splash guard moulded to the front bar. Of course the slash guard is not finished yet.Im put in air ducts. And with that one shape they can be a separate item that would fit to any front bar.
Hey Gonzo, is that an AbFlug style bar(looks similar to mine)? Shoot me some more pics of it if you can. Cheers Lloyd:zlove:
AbFlug style NO Im doing my own style of bar it may look like some styles that are already out there but is no way a exact same style. Im doing the plug for a mould. I can't show you any more or then I would be taking over the thread and I couldn't do that now could I
Man... you're a wizard with that stuff. Hey can you make me a surfboard?? A Nissan 300zx Surfboard with a circular Z sticker at the top and "Gonzo's Custom Boards" down the rails.. hehe!
Doesn't take me to his order page, instead it takes me to a page that says I don't have permission to view that page(or to post)and yes, I have registered and logged-in. I also can't get any reply from attempting to contact the Admin.:mad2:
I sent one of you guys an e-mail, I am totally up for a GB if you guys want to do it. Let me know and we can set something up.
For some reason I can't access your forum site. Please send me your info by email at: chili300zx@bigpond.com There seems to be a fair amount on interest in this item over here.:zlove::zlove::zlove:
Sorry guys, email's been out of action for a few days, just had about 60 emails flood in, including one from SpdRacer Quote: "Sure can, Shipping is $200.00 for 5 rear shields for USPS priority international. I can do the rear shields at $135 each if 5 or more are purchased. For every 5 shields the shipping would be $200 for each package, 5 per package. The only way I could do it is if someone runs the GB on your forum and sends a total amount for shields and shipping combined. Someone would have to split them up to there owners once they arrived. The front US style shields would be totally different as I can't pack the fronts more than one per box. Shipping on these would be individual at $55 each. The Jspec front shields would be the same price shipped as the rears with 5 or more purchased." So I take it it would be $135 each for 5 rear shields, $40 packaging per rear shield. Apply the same $$ for a front shield, and you have: $270 + $80 Per Front/Rear shield combo shipped to Australia. Then add postage to whatever state you live in. These are in US dollars so... Cheers Greg.
Hi Greg, I'm not sure what is going on here. This guy has emailed me today requesting me to set up a GB(which I have just done today). He didn't mention bulk packaging to me at all.
What i've quoted is the reply I got when I emailed SpdRacer asking if they were still available and if they were available to us (Australians). I don't have the resources / time to set up a group buy myself, if you would like to pursue this further then by all means! Did you mean that you have setup a group buy already? Cheers Greg.
I set up a possible group buy(depending on genuine interest) this afternoon. It has yet to be approved by the Mods. Was fairly similar to your info, although the prices were slightly different, and I had no figures for bulk shipping(I was working on individual shipping direct to each buyer). I set a cut off date of 31st May.
Terrific, well I'm sure it was just a matter of interpretation - nothing SpdRacer can't clarify himself! Cheers Greg.
A group buy was started and lasted all of about 15 mins. Basically alot of people myself included though that after the exchange rate and delivery they price was a bit much for what you were getting. Also there may be an Australian alternative for the engine side sheild that Rob260 was looking into. Not sure what's happening there, might be waiting on pricing. Ben
