WA Official EOI Motorkhana AHG Day

AHG Motorkhana and possible track day in June.
Official EOI. ​

DATE Sunday 28th June.

COST: $90pp
REQUIREMENTS: Valid Drivers License, Long sleeve shirt, Long pants, Helmet.

My plans are at the moment to run an AM group and then a PM group. Anyone can come down at any time, but keep in mind you will have your 4 hours of track time available.

The cost of the event will be estimated at $90PP. This will include a bbq that i want to organize at the venue for anyone involved. I will also be putting my car on the track likely for the PM session, so i might be asking for volunteers to help me with the BBQ.

Friends / Family / Cameramen can be encouraged to attend. Last time we had some very cool dudes, including Chris (ugame) taking some nice videos, which were posted on utube.

These are all the people that have previously expressed interest in the event. I need a final confirmation sent by PM to me if you intend to be involved. ​

So far my list of expected participants sits at 14. Once i have a final number i will be able to go ahead and book the event and take payments.

This is the one that involves learning to control the car around cones etc. yeah?

I'm in, with the provision that some unforseen Z-related incident doesn't occur before then (i.e. engine blowing up or similar).

Oh, and the helmets have to comply to a standard of some sort? Any tips on where to get a cheap one (don't need to hear about how I shouldn't be cheap on helmet etc. etc., I'm more likely to crash on the street than here and this is also at lower speeds so )? Else might borrow someones on the day.

Thats up to you buddy. If you wish to be included, you pay the entry fee, if not.. then ofcourse not. I will require payment upfront to book a place. If your vehicle malfunctions between now and then, then you either lose out, or find someone to buy your spot off you. Consider it like buying tickets to a concert.. You gotta get in early to guarantee a ticket, if you are late, then mabey you miss out. If you get crook and cant attend the concert.. then tough bikkies!!

Yeah there should be helmets to borrow. They wont check for any particular standard for the helmet. A cheap easy place to get a helmet for these kinds of racing is ebay. I wouldnt use it for a real form of racing however.

I would like to attend, I've done a couple there and they are good fun, would be nice to hire the outside track that the V8's use, much better suited to our cars than the coned track but its fun anyway.

If your talking to them see what the hire of the outside circuit would be.

Also, i got my helmet from cash converters. I think its a motorcross one but it was cheap and actually looks like it would help too.

Not yet cheers bud, I tried to give the place some money yesterday but their system crashed in the afternoon.

Yeah I don't think that's a problem Tom. It will be double checked before taking the bookings if that's the case. Also take into account the cost is PP.

The downside to having 2 to a car is you have to wait longer between runs. The delay is in the vehicle turnover.

 

wouldn't it be by person? not by vehicle.... it's a bit unfair that you'd only get half the time if you're paying per person and using the one car. Wouldn't the car just go out on the track twice per 'round' instead of once?
