G`day all , have been working on the car.Took out the air con. pump and radiator.Also took out the origanal air box and pipes and put in a pod type filter.Now it wont idle along while driving.It`s not a miss more a slight stall.Took plugs out and they look average.They are desmo iridium.Mate said probably origanal air filters.
Since you have disturbed your AFM (Air flow meter) and associated plug and wiring, I'd check there first. Check the plug to make sure all terminals are crimped nice and tight and are free from dirt and corrosion.
What kind of pod filter? You might need to baffle (disturb) the air going into the sensor a bit more prehaps. Ive heard of it sometimes giving a funny reading if the air is too straight and clear.
Clear self learn in ecu..... Whenever you make a change to anything on your motor that will alter what the ecu reads you should clear the self learn. This will ensure the ecu immediatley adjusts to the new changes.
Unplug the battery for a while, I have been told between half an hour and an hour is enough by various people, I usually leave it off overnight to make sure.
