silly me

    did a service on my sons z now time to do mine ,, ok cars up oil drained ,, oil filter off ,, time to add new oil ,, oh bugger carnt find my oil filter ,, oh well put the old filter back on and today get another one ,, question is can l now take the old filter off and put the new one on with out draining the oil ..

    you will loose a bit but if you are quick you should be able to get away with just topping it up

    take your sons Z to the shop and buy a new filter. it kind of defeats the purpose of an oil change otherwise..

    no need to drain oil (around $15 from nearly any auto place as its the same filter used for alot of cars)
    ryco oil filter is model Z145A,take old one off,fill new one with oil,smear oil on the rubber ring,do up hand tight ,recheck engine oil level,youre good to go :)

    thanks , next time l'll check if l have all the parts .. will change oil filter monday , happy easter
