    ok when hot my car is still misfiring @ around 2200 rpm and randomly dropping a cylinder when idling every now and then. It also feels throbby and lumpy under idle.

    Stuff done to car try to fix problem

    * S2 PTU soldered into loom and mounted under nose.

    * soldered new injector connectors (tinned the wires properly) and heat shrinked.

    * new coil pack connectors

    * changed coilpacks

    * changed ECU

    * new 02 sensors

    * new spark plugs

    * disconnected 02's to see if it had any effect, got worse!

    * Did compression test today when engine hot, 145-150 variance 5psi = v good.

    When it misfires, the RH 02 sensor stops flicking (obviously it is being doused with unburnt fuel)

    The last thing as i see it is injectors!!! They were flow tested and checked by dwight so how can it be them? Is it possible that an injector may fail once it gets hot?...

    I'm at a loss, time to leave the car with the experts soon to fix this F#$!@$@ing annoying issue.

    HEEEELLLLPPP!!!

    Please, no stupid random guesses or i will come round to your place, rip your head off and stick it up your arse, Thanks ;)

    When the o2 stops flicking, does it go high v, low v or 0.32v?

    How many k's traveled since purchase? The run to Warwick may sort it. Nothing like a good long hard run to blow away 'cobwebs'. :p

    cameron saw it and thinks it stayed high, almost all the way over to the right on nissan datascan whilst misfiring.

    This is whilst the car is in park, with revs climbing very slowly up to 2300

    lol i've been trying to blow cobwebs out today, i set off in a 'spirited' fashion from some lights on the way to see eric, an undercover shot up my arse to pull me over hahaha... Explained i was off to see my mechanic about a misfire issue that happens under load, all good, (i was telling the truth you see). :D

    High voltage indicates a rich condition. It may be a little far fetched, but try another 2 pcv's.

    Very unlikely injectors will cause a rich mixture and you have covered most other things. If you need 2, I can take them to work toomorrow.

    does it still have the egr connected?

    Check the tps voltage rise to wide open, it should be liner from 0.46v.

    Check your afm voltage and clean the hot wire.

    Injectors should show in a power balance test.

    Is the carbon canister still connected properly and hoses in good condition?

    What is the vacuum at idle?

    Is the fuel reg or damper leaking into the baalance tube?

    That should give you something to do.

    I do hope this is the case as WYKKED and I spent today chasing our tails on my misfire with no luck and we are leaving tomorrow morning.

    r33k, is it always the same cylinder missing for you or different ones?

    It's a cylinder in the drivers side bank. I've tried to find which cylinder using datascan/conzult to no avail as its a slight misfire rather than totally missing.

    When the engine is idleing, give the wiring loom a good shake :) see if it has any effect?

    Misfire when hot,
    Replace the AFM with a known good one.

    Checked injector resistance?

    yes, Dwight gave them the green light but, anything's possible. Should see 10-12 Ohms across the terminals- perhaps check immediately after problem occurs when hot.

    No vac leaks / vac lines loose on opposite side of engine to misfire? Perhaps increasing the boost has dislodged one? At least we know it's not the cam cover seals least (that was my bad :eek:...)

    Check cylinder three
    The new injector plugs wire clip some times hits the fuel rail, cause-ing it not to seat
    properly.

    no vac leaks etc, it's totally doing my noggin in! it had the same issue when i bought the car, throbbing etc. we'll see if a good drive sorts it out...
