hey everyone in the next 2-3 weeks even tomorrow maby, i might be getting an exhaust system, i have an NA. i have a few questions - what size do i want, 2.5 inch? will a 2+2 system from the cats and back fit at 2 seater? how much should i spend? thanks all
NO, not without extensive mods. Have a look at your fathers car, then at yours. Now tell me in all honesty, do those exhaust pipes look at ALL similar?
im asking... because i dont no, i no they are longer but was curious to no what parts were, they may not have been, now for the actual help of helping me find what im looking for.
2+2 and 2 seater exhausts are very different. because of the fuel tank placement and the fact that the 2+2 is slightly longer get a 2.5 system made up mate.. get some nice mufflers aswell so it doesnt wake the dead !
Since you're getting a system, for your 2 seater, does that mean you have the standard exhaust on it now? -Kirill
got hot dogs, mufflers and cats or something, im dunno exhaust systems that well, but the main pipes are all stock. were should i look to get my parts? so get 2.5? will that fit onto the extractors and also what things do i get, 2 in 2 out? cheers.
2.25" or 2.5" are both ok. Get mandrel bends though. As for cost, really depends on what parts you want to put on. For the catback I got magnaflow mufflers ($350 ish when AUD was good), UAS X-pipe $500 and piping/bends/flange plates $400. Paid over $600 for metal cats. $300 for front pipes and $730 for TTz extractors.
so im working on getting a quote right now: here is wat im asking for: 2.5 inch piping from the extractors metal cats 2in2out magnaflow mufflers all in steel am i missing a part at all? cheers all
hell yeah, hukie you do NOT want to be as loud as Simon's was. TRUST US ALL IN SAYING THIS! Apparently mine is rather loud when you open the taps a bit (3 inch full system with two single exit oval body lukey mufflers) but nowhere near as bad as Simon. If you want defect city, then do without the X pipe. Btw mine has a H pipe and no i didn't install a 3 inch system on an NA, the car came with it.
you should have heard it in the Burnley tunnel Ev,it was like an f1 car going through the tunnel at Monaco (just ask chad lol)
just got back from there today, turns out i have a 2.5 inch system on it already lol. so im getting cats re changed, $350.
