BDE Rebuilt VTC Intake Cam Gears

Someone else mentioned that. The $40 figure i posted was from email with Brett. I don't think it will be am issue anyway as we should have enough cores to cover everyone when the order is placed.

 

Timeframe

OK guys here's the deal....

The gears will take roughly two weeks to make up (he can do up to ten sets in a fortnight).

I would like to set the cutoff date as two weeks from today. By this date I need a 50% deposit, and your cores sent to me (if you already have gears off the engine). I am hoping to have enough cores ready when the order goes in that we don't have to stuff around with returning them to BDE at a later date and trying to organise international refund etc.

The remaining 50% plus freight will be due when the order lands in AUS. At this point buyers that were unable to provide cores will also need to send me a $100 core charge that will be refunded if you send your cores back in thirty days. Remember your cores will have previously been supplied by other forum members and workshops so there needs to be some incentive to return them in a timely fashion.

That majority of buyers listed so far have cores off engine already, if Zedzy can find his spare set then everyone will be covered.

We all OK with that troops?

Mikey if I am not mistaken this would put the due date for deposits somewhere near nationals, does that suit you?

Adjustable Timing

For anyone interested, Brett can build additional advance into the rebuilt sprockets in .25* incriments. Note this adjustment is fixed, and cannot be altered by the end user.

No additional charge.

 

Have to speak to your tuner.... JP thinks no. I am getting some series two gears rebuilt, but if i was doing series one i would leave stock. Brett said he has only done this for one customer and no before and after to show any benefit. The guys on tt.net using there with big builds have left factory.

Just a reminder to please send your cores and deposits this week. As per pm please be careful packaging your cores (they need to arrive in rebuildable condition) and i strongly suggest using registered post.

If you can loan a set that would be good... it will save one buyer from stuffing around with core charges and refunds etc.

So far no cores received. With the order finalised I will make payment to BDE, but they will need to receive either the cores or the core charge before releasing our order. So we have roughly two weeks to get organised.
