I have a few small dents I want fixed on my cars. How many of you have the same??

I was thinking that I could do a deal with a paintless dent guy and hire him for the day if we can get enough people interested.

Have a line of zeds with dents to be repaired and split the total cost between us all. Should be pretty cheap on a per car basis.

    What do you think ??

i would definatly put my hand up if i was down your way.
seems like a good idea, might have a chat to my panel beater (mothers cousin) and see what he thinks about having one up my way.

    I'd be interested!

Yeah Graham sounds like a great idea!.......especially as everyone can help pull trims etc to make it a more efficient process by the time your car gets a turn! ;)

All those years having to park in the Safeway carpark while I was working part time to survive Uni has definitely taken their toll on my poor Z!

Would be great to get her looking her best again! :zlove:

I'd be in if he does dints off the roof (hard top), after someone jumped on it near Chapel Street. Never taking the Zed clubbn again dats 4 sure. Already booked in with the panel beaters.

That is a top idea tekky, if I was in VIC and hadn't already had mine done I would be all over it!

Just wanted to make the suggestion that if you go ahead a mini teck day/trim removal ahead of time would be a good idea. I had a mate who is does PDR and a large part of the time involved (ie cost!) is accessing the dent.

If there's a bunch of you getting together you could definately save some coin and probably get a better job if you pull the interior trims etc yourselves.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    I'm in GJ!

As for trim removal, I can get door trims off in about 4 minutes (in one piece, no damage - Ian and Ellie, aka ZENA, will confirm).

From memory a one off is about $120/hr minimum. He can do a quite few dents in an hour dependin how big they are.

I am hoping we can get it down to half that. But lets wait for a quote when I float the idea past him.

ill roll my own(as i have already done),but i wont do anybody elses because there is always a chance it will crack
It would be a great idea to maybe hire a guy who does it for the day,you will still sign a disclamer, but then thats your drama, not mine

could try to get Athid down to roll/pump/flare guards if required. He's a pro, did mike's car and heaps of other NS/SAU members. I think he charges around $70 each wheel arch but could try to work out a deal if there are a few people who want it done.

    How many cars?

Graham......considering how long it takes to repair each car? (approx time of course!)...... how many cars do you estimate could be done in a single tech day? Judging by the interest there may be too many cars for a single days work??
