    Si, yeah get the caz lock bar. Lockout the rear of the car. At the front, where the res feeds the solinoid, take off the tube. Use a saw and cut the front most fitting that goes from solinoid to pump. Use 4 inchs of tube and connect the 2. It's the same principle as the z1 fitting for solinoid removal. It's quick cheap and neat. No difference to power steering feel like some have experienced with devayning the pump.

    This Method costs $3 but does keep the tt ps pump. After this i was solinoid free.

    Excuse the mess. This is my engine recently. This is what the Z1 fitting achieves, which can be done any number of ways.

    The GREEN is the new line.
    The BLUE is the original line to the solenoid.

    That picture the solenoid in my car has not yet been removed, but it is totally disconnected and just ornamental.

    This is what the Z1 fitting does;

    All TT`s had 4WS if im not mistaken.

    Check out to see if there is a big ugly lookin messy gangly thing in the bottom left hand side of your engine bay (as your standing infront looking at it).

    They are redundant now.

    They go to the back of the car, where its all disconnected. Currently left in place, but i will cut them soon and tuck it away to neaten it up.

    so its just a case of joining these 2 lines with clamps and the solenoid gets binned ??,
    Why does everyone go to all the trouble of deveining the pump and all that crap if its not needed ???

    it's a lot of extra work to do the na change. Don't get me wrong, changing to the NA system is superior. But my system works fine. I've even got a spare na and tt pump handy if necessary. Don't know if I'll ever need/use them.

    Aren't you continually going to pump fluid into the bottom of the reservoir this way ?

    There will be nothing to restrict the high pressure flow straight into the reservoir.
