Hey ive just been reading up on how to install my underdrive pulley.
It said to take the centre nut off, wedge a breaker bar in and crank the engine.

How do I crank the engine? Ive read this elsewhere and wondering what do I crank? I would normally spin the crank pulley..

Is it on an engine stand?

I put a couple of the flywheel bolts bolts in the back of the crank and wedged a big screwdriver between them and the engine stand brace thingo.

That stopped the engine turning over when I went nuts on the bolt.:D

is it manual or auto ?

on one of my engines which was from a auto it had a flexi plate on it so put a screw driver through one of the holes in the flexy plate and tuked it into one of the block cavities just behind the flexi plate.

That stoped it form moving for me

Its a manual. Ill give it a go tomorrow as I havnt actually tried yet was just wondering what I can do. Might come of easier than I expected (doubt it. bolts rusted through). But ill try anyway see what I can do.
