WA VG30-DETT For Sale

Anyone want the engine that's just come out of my car? Running fine, includes everything except the bits which needed to be transferred to new long block (i.e. starter motor, alternator, CAS). So it has exhaust manifolds, turbos, injectors but no fuel rail. It has water pump, belts, had full 100K service 30K ago. Plenum, temp sesnor was new, plugs at 100K, divorced dump pipes... probably more can't remember. $1100 ono. Perth only, unless you can organise all freight & packaging etc.

This is an excellent alternative to a rebuild. A fraction of the price people!!

 

this might be a good option for our second z depending on how our compression test goes.

 

km's on it? compression results? auto or manual (for cam/turbo specs)

 

130K, compression don't know but ran well and pulled hard. 5 sp manual. I left a lot out didn't I?

 

assume the PS pump and air con are also being transfered?

 

PS pump is being transferred. You could have air con comp as new engine has a new one.

 

willing to seperate turbos? compression test on ours will reveal piston rings or turbo seals, so depending on what happens it might be cheaper for us to get another engine as aposed to fixing the rings, or if its turbo seals we are gonna need new turbs anyway.

 

Nah sorry, I've got a complete engine that I want to get rid of, better to sell it to someone who needs the whole thing. I've seen a set of second hand turbos for $500 so this is a very good price anyway.

$300 to pack it, organise it, and ship it, nope. I'm after a life of less stress - not more. If you can get some one to get it, pack it, and ship it for $300 then it's yours, otherwise sorry, as the post said, WA only unless you can organise the rest.

 

I can't get a comp test done. The engine is now sitting on the floor of my mechanics workshop (with suitable sump protection of course ). If you can somehow get the comp test done then you are more than welcome to do so before you purchase or commit to the same. This engine does not have 4 star pistons, or the trailing 'ed'. It's a good honest motor, the 100k service cost more than the asking price.

 

if its in a mech shop cant you just get them to do the test? engine doesnt have to be in car for a test to be done. shouldn't cost more than 50$ or so. it will help your sale either way.

what shop / suburb is it in?
